Vivaldi fires up performance

@Catweazle I saw more before (cloud print, pdf) but I forgot about Google’s announcement.

@catbear said in Vivaldi fires up performance:
when are you going to disable autoplay on videos? on restart when multiple pages open with videos, they all start playing at the same time and there's no way to turn them all off or even figure out which tabs they're playing in.
It's for this exact reason that I use the option: Settings > General > Startup > Lazy Load Restored Tabs. This means each tab starts up in the "hibernated" state and only loads when brought to the foreground, so autoplaying videos are a non-issue on startup.
-
@thomasp I have lazy load turned on, bust just deselected load pinned tabs. thanks.
-
@thomasp The other issue with autoplay is when I'm scanning the open tabs looking for something I wish to share with someone else, videos automatically play and I have to jump to turn them off so they don't interrupt my other tasks or blast other people. Why not have a disable autoplay option?

Following with the Update yesterday I noticed two problems:
Email: No data any more from my GMX-account (GMail still working), sending through GMX works
Cookies (?): Can't comment here using Vivaldi (does not remember my Login). Had to use 'Edge'
I seem to be the only one? (Win 10)
Cecked logs for GMX (imap). The logs says GMX does not support CONDSTORE on imap.gmx.net (as opposed to Gmail)
Anybody with working GMX-Connection out there?
Different Email-Programs still work with GMX, and I think they still use the CONDSTORE- feature so this may be a bug -
@szczyputek: yeah, u are right regarding that typo in the blogpost. it's probably because of the use of double quotes, the blog writer missed it.
currently in the blog post: "Periodic Reload 2"
the intended was probably: «Periodic Reload 2'» -
@catbear In case you were unaware, this has been an MVP extension for some years:

@rseiler THANK YOU!!!!

Here is a bug:
Steps to reproduce:
- open the new (!) Speed Dial Page
- Scroll to the bottom of the dials
- open in the new tab (or middle click on it)
- you will see the focus (!) is on the 1st dial
Focus Page Content on New Tab should be enabled:
Vivaldi 3.7.2218.45 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
update:
@npro said in Vivaldi fires up performance:
@Stardust Ctrl+Click looks ok though
-
@Stardust Nope, not here. Have you really tried it with a new clean profile?
-
@npro you can't reproduce or wrong thread?
-
@Stardust Can't reproduce.

@Stardust Negative.
-
@npro Oh, are you sure you did this:
- open the new (!) Speed Dial Page first
-
@Stardust ah right, I forgot it this time. Ok with Focus Page Content on New Tab, confirmed
