@Stardust That GIF is the funniest thing I've seen today!

@fotistsouv95 for me x64 installer crashes every upgrade, but upgrade finishes without noticeable problems. (Did not tested x86 and fresh install)
-
@fotistsouv95: Ok yeah that is very bad. We are working on a fix now.
P.S. There are a couple of workarounds in the mean time. For example, create a .reg file that contains only
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Vivaldi] "lang"="en"
Then import into the registry.

I'm late to the whole tab-dragging topic, so I haven't seen if there's a way to get back the old horizontal "level" drag ability when re-ordering tabs rather than whatever this anywhere-goes approach is now (can someone remind me of what the intent/benefit of the new way is?).
BTW, with 89 released two weeks ago and Vivaldi 89 about done, there should be no denying that the 8-week cycle is the way to go later this year. Short of completely redefining the way Vivaldi is done, there's no alternative. I doubt anyone will mind.
-
@ian-coog: No need. It is valid and yeah, that is a proper bug!!!

Hi,
Are you on W7? -
@Ruarí please consider it a priority fix before release

there is no way
can someone remind me of what the intent/benefit of the new way is?
no one knows
-
@iAN-CooG We have a fix in the works. If there are problems, I already have a workaround I could use at a push.

One of the biggest "selling" features of Vivaldi since day-1 is tab stacks, but I assume people still had difficulties creating them (finding the sweet spot), so it was neglected as a workflow and people easily forgot that Vivaldi was offering it as first, now though that chinese browser is offering "workspaces" and Google Chrome copied the tab stack concept and is advertising as theirs Vivaldi needed to improve tab stacks and they did. Creating tab-stacks is easy-pie and works like a charm now, truly increasing productivity for those that haven't used the feature yet.
tl;dr: Tab stacks is more important than rearranging tabs
P.S. we need a Friday's poll about this to see how many Vivaldians rearrange???! their tabs?! @jane-n

Yes!

actually last snapshots made it really awkward if not even bad, especially with drag-n-drop.
-
@iAN-CooG That's strange to hear, drag-dropping on an existing tab feels very natural and instant to me now, and the blue-dashed rectangle shows where you would like to put the tab if you wouldn't want to create a stack, it's that simple to me.

I am thinking ~95% rearrange their tabs and ~10% use tab stacks
-
@dancer18: Not for a final update at RC stage because the mail client is only an experiment at this stage.
-
@Ruarí Ok, I understand. I'm patient.
-
@ruarí: Rawwrrrr! Can't wait for new new stable wooooo thank you
-
@npro Fyi, I've said this before, but the new drag-n-drop works very poorly with "Minimize Active Tab". This what can happen if you try to drag the active tab of a stack right after opening the stack:
