What kind of Computers does Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner use?
I am curious about what computers Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner is using. I noticed that Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner uses a ThinkPad, but I'm not sure of the exact model.
So I wanted to do an interview to find out what computer Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner is using and what he thinks about his favorite computer.
- What computer is Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner using?
- Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner used to use ThinkPad, how does he rate this computer brand? And why did he choose ThinkPad over other computer brands?

#6. What is your 2nd favorite browser after Vivaldi?
-
@guigirl said in What kind of Computers does Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner use?:
@Stardust Opera Presto.
Well, sure!
But this question is for another user! :face_savouring_delicious_food: -
@guigirl I am sure your questions would be ignored! :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_closed_eyes:

@Poto, Stardust & guigirl , with regards to your questions:
1+2. I tend to use Thinkpads a lot. I have used a lot of different ones over the years. The main reason I like them is the Trackpoint. I am a lot faster with the Trackpoint than with a touchpad. I also like the keyboard. For a while I had the anniversary edition, with an older style keyboard, but sadly that one broke. I also try out other computers frequently and tend to use Macs on a regular basis as well.
3-5. I tend to have multiple versions of Vivaldi installed. I am always on the latest internal build, but I am also testing various new feature versions. Right now I am testing M3 import a lot, but also an unnamed new feature. I use horizontal tabs with 2 line tab stacks and a lot of them. I also have various other browsers installed for testing purposes.
6. After Vivaldi, my favorite browser would be Presto based Opera.
7. I like many colors, but I guess one of them would be red.
8. My quest is to help build the best browser in the world for you all!
9. That one I would have to look up, so I would like to say that I do not know. Now your turn:
- Which computers do you use?
- Which OS do you run?
- What phone do you use?
- What is your favorite color?
- What is your quest?
Cheers,
Jon. -
Hello Poto
Hello Mister Jon
A complete ibm A20m is here available for your collection. Will send it to You, if you want it; as a share test equipment, so to speak.
Thanks Jon. -
@jon I have a fairly old compaq 32bit laptop.Vivaldi runs incredibly well on it and i was quite surprised.
I have 2 amiga500 computers in their original boxes which rarely see the light of day but i keep them for posterity.
Commodore 16/plus4 is about somewhere too lol.My operating system is xenial puppy linux 7.5.The australian barry kauler has done a magnificent job in the creation of puppy and saved my laptop from certain demise.
I don't use app-phones,i have a basic mobile.
favourite colour is red.As for a quest,That is a tough one and i shall come back to it later lol.

Now your turn:
Which computers do you use?
I think it's a 3-4 y.o. PC running Linux, quite powerful so far.
I also would like to have something like this - Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Linux Edition)Which OS do you run?
Solus Budgie
What phone do you use?
Google pixel, but I dislike google services and hate that some apps are impossible to disable or remove. And my phone won't get new android 12. So maybe I will replace stock android with LineageOS
What is your favorite color?
Orange is pretty cool
What is your quest?
I am waiting when all my feature request will be implemented :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:

@Priest72 , these are some really nice computers. When it comes to vintage computers, I do have a bit of a collection, including a number of Amigas, Commodores, Ataris, Sinclairs, Enterprise, Acorn, BBC, etc., etc.

Hello, jon sir.
#10 you are re-creating old opera as vivaldi,
what other wonderful old product would you re-create for us, in case you wish to?@juanvase , I guess my focus is on Vivaldi. We have plenty on our list when it comes to Vivaldi, although I would not say it is re-creation, but rather creation.

@jon Did you owned a computer with CP/M OS?
My Commodore 128 had CP/M. Don't recall being able to do much with it at the time, as mostly everything software-wise I used, was written for the native Commodore side (GEOS, for example).

I truly miss my old CD-790 (970 perhaps)... Win 95/98SE

@jon Did you owned a computer with CP/M OS?
@Gwen-Dragon , I do own computers with CP/M. The Amstrad CPC 464 and CPC 6128. These are part of my collection of old computers.
I cannot say that I have done a lot of work on CP/M, but I have done some during my studies.
