It's about time – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2202.3
-
Has someone else noticed the resolution in the Vivaldia game has somehow gone down? Game looks a little blurred and fuzzy.
-
A question about Mail: How can I move a mail from Received to my own Mailing list? (Drag and drop doesn't work, Labels doesn't delete the mail from Received, and I did not found Archive function like Gmail)
-
@greybeard: I'm on the previous build 3.6.2165.32 and when I go to check for updates nothing happens. Is that your bug report? If so I'll write to the bug address and report I see the same.
-
-
@WildEnte Nope... the Updater is supposed to give you a notification that there is now a new version of Snapshot or Stable available. Then the user goes to "Check for Updates".
At least that is the way it has worked in the past. -
@greybeard: and that's how I also have used it in the past, only now neither do I get a notification that this build exists nor does anything happen when I go to 'check for updates' (as in exactly nothing is happening apart from the menu closing on click). When you said above 'updater in windows does not work' I figured it might be the same issue. But apparently not. So I'll just download and install the new build manually instead. Haven't done updates this way in a long time, hope nothing breaks
-
@WildEnte Best of Luck. I do get notice that a new version is available with as we previously got.
-
@greybeard Best way to get notified is using Vivaldi's inbuilt RSS feed reader and subscribing to the Vivaldi blog ^^
…or stalking Ruarí
-
@luetage Do both... That's how I found out about this update.

@potmeklecbohdan What you mean by Cr? Chrome or Chromium? Btw this mousedown thing is present for longer time, not with with this latest build, I just didn't mentioned it.
You think that Vivaldi team decided lets change tab activation from mouseup to mousedown? No, of course it is inherited from Chromium. As Vivaldi is basically Chromium (btw2 developed by Google team) with custom UI layer, most of the "window manipulation" stuff is same as in Chromium with adapted to Vivaldi UI.
-
@wpcoe: The selected text is currently not displayed (as intended). I plan to add another entry in menu configuration in Settings that has this enabled. That way a user can select which one to use from Settings. I have not decided which one will be default yet.
For the image: All image entries are moved into a "Image" sub menu by default (look down in the menu). That sub menu can be toggled from menu configuration in Settings so that all items are shown in the top menu as before. Currently on can not choose to add a single image related item to the top level of that menu. It is all or sub menu. Support for that is planned.
-
@enc0re I use Cr for both interchangeably, in this case it's probably -ium.
Vivaldi is basically Cr wrt rendering web sites (& rendering, but not creating/managing, the UI), but the UI is mostly made by Vivaldi (with some exceptions like the site info pop-up etc). The pieces that you see as 'tabs' are weakly connected with their Cr's internal counterparts: the UI has to ask Cr for a notification when something changes, & has to tell Cr to do this or that when you perform an action on the UI thing.

Why not a
%s
or something that will be substituted w/ the text? -
@potmeklecbohdan: That is close to the format with the one I plan to add. But which one will be the default I am not sure of.
-
Yeah, it seems several of the bugs that I noticed are gone, judging from a snapshot. I would appreciate if even more effort was put into putting out bugs and a bit less into new features.
-
@espen So why at all two items? If someone doesn't want the text, they can omit the placeholder.
-
[BUG] Focus on the 1st dial (when you open new tab) is not working anymore
The dial is not selected:
how it should be:
The same problem (focus on the dial) on the 1st Vivaldi start
Another bug - often the Vivaldi window is not maximized (very old issue)
-
@Gwen-Dragon done! VB-77187
-
The new tab dragging is super buggy, some tabs seem frozen, you can't move them.
