Any word on M3? (internal mail client)

So, this should be the week. What about Tuesday? It should be a good day for a snapshot.
Also shower thoughts:
Apple Inc.
may use theM3
brand for its procesors before it's released on vivaldi. I only fear that processor generations become old over time, but that thought may be spared for some other time.We are, indeed, getting closer...

Sorry, can you tell me exactly what m3 is? Thanks.
-
@Gwen-Dragon ,
M3 is the internal name mail client in Vivaldi.
Can you explain a little more?
Isn't it better to give a special article explaining this feature in Vivaldi Blog? -
@nazariansani We Will probably get such an article When M3 gets Its first public preview
-
@LonM ,This topic has been created for almost 2 years,
so far it has not been said when it will be published? -
@nazariansani There have been topics about M3 since 2015 the latest, but yes, there was a quite specific hint given more recently.
I believe we will get a Technical Preview out this month.

@Gwen-Dragon This is not too surpirsing after all. Opera and even its
opera:config
also just includesMail
, I think I've never seen theM2
mentioned in the compiled version itself.Still a shame, and I think that to-be Apple hardware should not be a reason to avoid this name
-
@jumpsq That
<name>
does not exist, they've killed it, it's just its corpse that is luying around as abandonware. M2 was just version 2 of the mail of the abandonware, so it doesn't make any sense using M3 at all, it doesn't have to do with Apple. Other than being a "spiritual" successor by the person who co-founded both companies there's nothing more to it. -
@npro Thing is, M2 is just the best client I have come across until today, and it will be the most important source of inspiration for vivaldi's mail client. So of course it makes sense to call it M3, even if not officially.
