@hlehyaric Teehee, that's ok, no wukkas. I confess however that for a little while i was quite nonplussed by your question, but then i decided that it was probably a simple matter of timing.
Also, is this happening for you? I am frequently finding new posts / new replies without V actually alerting me to them. It's really quite frustrating ... eg, your last few posts even in this thread - I did not know about them [no notification, no icon/indicator change], & only found them afterwards by chance when i manually returned to this thread. It's really putting me on edge...

Broken mods should be grayed out from the extension until they're fixed. Or with a danger sign, which also allow to disable them if enabled.
-
@Hadden89 Personally i'd prefer pink or lavender, but yeah...
-
@Steffie Or an Edgy blue.
Btw, even compact header/hide header/time stamp had issues. But I should recheck them.
-

Yeah, โrecentโ forum updates broke a great part of VFM, but Iโm afraid it wonโt be fixed soon coz in the meantime luetage started working on a better theming system (& now the git version is in completely broken state). I once tried to check if I can do anything with its current state, but got so confused that I had to leave.
@luetage donโt you think that the
develop
branch should be used again (probably since next release)? -
@potmeklecbohdan Itโs even worse, the development version I got locally is far ahead, it has little to do with the version on github.
-
@luetage So I guess you'll do a new repo. I think you already marked the broken mods in some way.
Let us know when try the new unpacked :3 -
@Hadden89 Pretty much all mods are broken, I believe the only things that still works properly are advanced formatting, auto-hide header on scroll and square avatars.
-
@luetage Do you plan pushing it anytime soon? Is it any nearer to getting fixed?
Also, if I now theoretically made a new branch from last release & tried to fix all mods, how would you deal with that? Would you merge it somewhere (or just add the branch to your repo) & release it?

Updated on 17/11/20 -- V-Forum Mod 2.4 (Store Version)
- Advanced formatting
- Auto-hide header on scroll (won't work with sprucey)
- Bookmarks in navigation
- Compact header (glitch on header)
- Custom notification icons
- Hide tooltips (only first bar on the right, where your avatar is. Search tooltip still show )
- Hide unread count
- Last edit timestamp
- Show User IDs (on username hover; don't work on profiles).
- Signature mod (ok if supposed not to have a button to show the signature)
- Square avatars (if supposed to disable chat avatar status indicator)
-
- Hide tooltips
- Show User IDs โ partly broken (doesnโt work on profile page)
-
@potmeklecbohdan I saw. Only "first header" tooltips (community, forum,....).
Would be logical to have the second bar too (categories, unread,....). And I forgot the UID mod was on hover. -
@Hadden89 Yeah, but thatโs never been a part of the mod. Wonโt hurt if itโs added, but itโs a CSS-only mod (which cannot remove
tooltip
attribute). -
@potmeklecbohdan mmh... I only see tooltips on right with or without mod. And on search which probably was changed.
-
I want my money back.
-
@potmeklecbohdan Gotta clean up some stuff first. We are in lockdown from today on anyway.
And I understand the currently released versions arenโt usable. -
@luetage No hurry need, especially as core function - the dark theme - works fine
And few nice mods too, as the almost essential Advanced Fomatting ^^ -
@Hadden89 said in Vivaldi Forum mod:
No hurry
Absolutely true. Afaik pretty much anytime at all between brekkie & elevenses tomorrow would be just peachy.
-
@Steffie No, my notifications work well as does the indicator. I'm notified in real time. I even have a notification sign on my tab in WP, that's so delightfully wonderful . Then, I'm not on the edge, but part of the
chromecrowdโฆBTW, I wonder if some are night owls or early risers (bar, of course, the Australian Lady).
