Vivaldi Forum mod
-
@hlehyaric Very neat! Congrats!
-
@Ornorm Thanks a lot. I had some spare time last night (boring Saturday evening) and today (rainy afternoon ) = four themes .
-
@hlehyaric Four? Oh man oh man, you're more scary than me!
-
@Ornorm Not that much. Three are more or less the same. The pictures are different, so there was a need for adjustments, but in the end, these are dark themes.

Hopefully they are much less confusing than Dark.
-
@Steffie I hope so .

Engage pre-emptive Echidna ModeSpoiler
Today i searched the forum for the string "Bookmarks in navigation", which gave 5 hits, reducing to only three of relevance to me once i excluded translation ones. None of these showed a follow-up to your post here, but obviously my Search would have failed if any subsequent response omitted that string. OK, that's my pre-emptive self-defence excuse outta the way, on with my question...
Disengage pre-emptive Echidna Mode
Did you ever get a chance to restore this pls so that we can once more enjoy the convenience of your erstwhile:

Version 1.42
New mod: Bookmarks in navigation
When activated adds a link to the hidden bookmarks page to the main navigation. The same link is available from the profile dropdown menuNB: I acknowledge i've not forgotten our other [non-extension] ways to get to our forum BMs... tis just that your Mod-way was so nice. Grovel, crawl, smarm, supplicate.
-
Square avatars seem to break the user activity indicator ... or am i doing it all wrong somehow?
-
@Steffie As far as I remember, it's on purpose. I mean: with that mod, you get square avatars of course and you get rid of the indicator.
Are you using
Bookmarks in navigation
? I'm asking, cause for me this mod doesn't work anymore. -

That hasn't been working for me for a while now. I just made my the bookmarks my homepage in the Vivaldi forum profile settings, so when I click on Forum at the top it opens my bookmarks page... I also have a speed dial link to it.

EEk! I never considered that possibility, so i assumed it was some form of
undocumented software feature [RIP]
. I seem then to occupy an obscure part of the Venn Diagram for weirdo users who like both squares AND indicators simultaneously. Alas.@hlehyaric said in Vivaldi Forum mod:

Um... yes ... https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/415557
-
@Steffie I'm sorry for my dumb question, I missed your post.
You're right, we need this mod back.
-
@hlehyaric Teehee, that's ok, no wukkas. I confess however that for a little while i was quite nonplussed by your question, but then i decided that it was probably a simple matter of timing.
Also, is this happening for you? I am frequently finding new posts / new replies without V actually alerting me to them. It's really quite frustrating ... eg, your last few posts even in this thread - I did not know about them [no notification, no icon/indicator change], & only found them afterwards by chance when i manually returned to this thread. It's really putting me on edge...

Broken mods should be grayed out from the extension until they're fixed. Or with a danger sign, which also allow to disable them if enabled.
-
@Hadden89 Personally i'd prefer pink or lavender, but yeah...
-
@Steffie Or an Edgy blue.
Btw, even compact header/hide header/time stamp had issues. But I should recheck them.
-
-
Yeah, βrecentβ forum updates broke a great part of VFM, but Iβm afraid it wonβt be fixed soon coz in the meantime luetage started working on a better theming system (& now the git version is in completely broken state). I once tried to check if I can do anything with its current state, but got so confused that I had to leave.
@luetage donβt you think that the
develop
branch should be used again (probably since next release)? -
@potmeklecbohdan Itβs even worse, the development version I got locally is far ahead, it has little to do with the version on github.
-
@luetage So I guess you'll do a new repo. I think you already marked the broken mods in some way.
Let us know when try the new unpacked :3
