Hi guys, I think one thing is missing and it's the translation button to translate sites.
What is this?:

Is able to translate single words, copied text, and complete websites.
Not perfect every time, but good enough to understand & easy to handle. -
@Pliex This is not a "button," but a link to a function consisting of millions of lines of coding, which performs an AI function of translating living languages.
Vivaldi does not have such a button because it does not have those millions of lines of code, and the browser-builders that do have them, charge crippling amounts of licensing fees to access and use them. Vivaldi may at some point find an open-source translation tool it can link to, but it has not found a suitable one yet.

@Pliex Set a translation web page such as the Bing Translator as a web panel.
It takes a bit of copy/paste to use it, but it works well.

I do exactly what @Pesala described, and have a translator as a panel. Additionally, I have set translation tools as custom search engines. This allows me to highlight text, right-click on it, and search the translation tool with that text. It's super easy. With the panel, I mainly use it when I encounter an entire page in a language I cannot read. I'll just copy & paste the URL into the panel, which then allows me to open the translated page in a new tab. I can then broswe the site normally, but translated into my preferred language.

@BoneTone Interesting. I keep a translator as a panel, as well. It's my only panel. Must be a "thing."

@jessicaferem If you add a translator as a web panel you can simply drag and drop the text into the panel to translate it. I set a shortcut of Ctrl+1 to open my first web panel, which is the Microsoft Bing translator.
Vivaldi now has an experimental feature to translate pages. The item is on the page context menu, and an icon will appear in the URL field when translation is available. Regularly used languages can be set to translate automatically. I find this very useful on the German section of IrfanView support forum.

The device does save copying the URL and pasting into Chrome,
BUT it would be nice to be able to disable it permanently for languages one does read, otherwise it is annoying to have to click it shut every time one moves within the same lingustic environment.
