Volume box

Before the update only box 1 was shown when I changed the (Windows system) volume of a Youtube video. Since the update Box 2 is shown now. This is a bit annoying because the box takes up a lot of space and stays there long before it fades out. How do I get rid of Box 2?
-
@Gwen-Dragon I see it when I use the multi-media keys on my keyboard. The same popup (showing vivaldi.exe) appears if I am watching a YouTube video in Firefox!
I wonder if it is due to a Windows update or a YouTube update?

Have the same, I think it's related to the Windows 10 1903 May update as I didn't have that before and I suppose what Pesala said that it's the same with Firefox confirms that. It's not relevant to youtube I can trigger it anytime with my Fn+Key for increasing/decreasing the volume in my laptop. Very annoying, it blocks quite a part of needed space and lasts too long.

Three seconds is not too long.

@RayAlpha Do you use multimedia keys of your keyboard to get this issue?
Yes.

@Pesala It's more than 3 seconds around 4 I'd say because there is a fade-out time added to it and if you make accidentaly the mistake of not waiting 'til the fade-out is gone and you hover over it you can bring it up again which means more waiting. So I'd say it's 5 seconds to be completely sure it's gone, which is pretty long.

@npro Whatever. It is still less than one breath. Learn to breathe in and out consciously — it is very effective for relieving stress.
It would not hurt to have an option to disable the popup, but one can soon learn to ignore it. How often does one adjust the volume using the media keys?

This is apparently due to a Windows update, and nothing to do with Vivaldi. What it does is show the overlay for your default browser.
If I change my default browser to Firefox, I see this instead of the extra controls that I see if Vivaldi is my default. Any change to the Vivaldi overlay would, I assume, be due to changes in the Chromium code.

@Gwen-Dragon Disabling media-key-handling hides the extra controls, and just shows the simple volume slider that is displayed with Firefox or Opera as the default browser.

@Gwen-Dragon Great, thanks for the tip
