Minor update (2) for Vivaldi 2.5
-
@pesala: using windows 10 64 bit version
The desktop icon is red, start icon is red, installer exe file is red, but the taskbar button is grey -
@HealingCross Opera is a different thing, they are paid for having it exclusively as advertisement.

@npro I had problems with the web panel at first.
Try the following:-
Right click the web panel for WA
-
Switch to Desktop mode
-
Click on the Home button (house icon) of the web panel. Then you should get the site which tells you to update your Chrome Browser.
-
Right click again and switch back to mobile (uncheck desktop)
After every switch the panel should reload and after switching back to mobile it worked for me.
Edited to include step with Home button.

Thank you, all right

Dunno if it's anything to do with recent changes, but the once revolving arrow in a Speed Dial tile that's being updated no longer revolves, at least not on my system. W10 Home, Asus 10", 1525.43
-
@gwen-dragon: No, I meant when I clicked on the stationary circular arrow. It used to rotate until it had finished updating.

This update in Stable breaks Ubuntu forums for me. It didn't before today's update. Also affects today's snapshot. Might be a change in the configuration of Ubuntu's forums, but Vivaldi is the only one affected for me (works in Firefox, Opera and Chromium).
I mentioned this in the Snapshot blog: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/37426/profile-management-abusive-ad-blocking-whatsapp-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-1546-4/28
Also mentioned in the forum: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/17405/can-t-log-into-ubuntu-s-forum
BTW, tried with a virgin profile, but it's still broken. Broken on both Windows 10 and Ubuntu.

@LakeInHolland Did you turn off animations?

Can we please have "Frequently Visited Pages" dropdown filtered by what's being typed in the address bar back? It isn't working since 2.5
-
Netflix keep breaking with 2.5
I even did a clean install. Worked a couple of times and then Netflix stopped working. Tried changing the user agent and that doesn't work. -
@floweringmind: I also disabled all my extension and Netflix doesn't work.
-
@floweringmind:Hey, could you try clearing your cookies, seeing as it works the first few times, perhaps a corrupted cookie is the issue?
-
@helpfile yeah thanks I discovered it also myself few days ago, sorry I didn't see your answer
