@Pesala Thanks for your report and sharing the good news
-
@Quinca71 thanks a lot for reporting them. We're looking into them. It might take a while to be fixed but we thank you in advance for your patience
-
@Gwen-Dragon which issue would you like to report? As an alternative, you can also do it on nodeBB's forum.
-
@Gwen-Dragon Funny you mentioned the register NodeBB request register before posting. I did mine today to request a feature. Can I help you?
-
@Gwen-Dragon Sure you will find a bug.
-
Fast Forward in multipage threads with spacebar still do not work consistently.
Is that a NodeBB issue or something that just affects this forum?
Example Thread with lots of pages. I have my forum settings at 10 threads/post per page.
-
I'm not sure if it is related to the update but I find it irritating that when someone replies to my posting without quoting it that I don't receive a notification. Is this really the expected behavior?
I very much dislike unquoted replies and honestly I can't understand how to fluently read threads with unquoted replies. Is there a trick?
-
@goedl I think the notification is only sent if your username is included in the reply.
Here, I have replied to the thread, not to your post.

This reply is to your post using the blue Reply link, but I have deleted your username. You can see that your post has a reply from the links below your post.

And I received again no notification which to me is a bug since I have to actively monitor my postings to get to know if someone reacted to it.
Do you or anybody else thinks this is not a bug? -
@goedl Did you check the option to "Watch topics that you reply to" in the forum's settings?
-
I see that there is a difference between how the Accessibility tag appears in threads and how it appears in the index or on the tags page.
The same is true for the A11Y Tag
-
The forum update seems to have broken the Search for threads of Any Date
- Search Last Year
- Change the date range to Newer than Any Date
- Search again
- Check the settings
- It has reverted to Newer than Six Months.
-
Again:
- Search for Gmail threads in Last Six Months
- Change date range to Newer than Any Date
- Search again
- Date Range has changed to Six Months
-
Apparently, my Search Preferences for Date Range are overriding whatever new value I set in the Date Range.
That's not useful. In general, I want to search only the last six months, but sometimes I want to search longer. I should not have to keep saving my preferences to search farther back.

@Pesala Submitted bug report as:
(9151029264) Search Date Range Reverts to Saved Setting

No because this is (especially at very active threads) usually not what I want.
But I discovered that "when someone mentions you" was set to "none" and I switched it now to "Notification". Maybe this solves the problem. -
@goedl Mentions only trigger when someone mentions you out of the context of a normal reply. For example this message shouldn't give you a notification of the "mention" kind.

Then use the option to unsubscribe from those particular threads. At the top (below the first post) and at the bottom of the page (under the last post), there is a button where you can change the status between Watching, Not Watching and Ignoring.

As @luetage pointed out, that doesn't work like that, so it won't solve your problem. If you participate in a thread, you won't get any "mention" notifications from it.

sigh so nobody is considering it a bug that I did not receive a notification that pafflick replied to my posting even quoting a part of it?
According to my memory this was previously the case in this forum and that this behavior is standard in all other boards I'm participating. When clicking on the "bell" and selecting "see all notifications" I can narrow it down to "Replies". What's the supposed output of this?
EDIT: I guess only replies to watched threads.
