Optional Functions for Double-click on Tab
-
Add option to choose from different actions when double clicking on tab. It could be clone, copy address, pin, hibernate etc.
Mod Edit: Moved post to its own thread.

@Gregor I currently use double-click to close tabs. Pin might be useful instead.

Tiling...
-
@Seasonly How could that work? Tile the double-clicked tab with what?
-
@Pesala Several possibilities for tiling with tab double-clicking:
-
Classical form that is coming from the old firefox add-on Tile tabs : when you double-click over a tab, the next one is verticaly tiled with it ; new such click desactivates this feature
-
Modern way : you select with a double-click a parent tab that is then clearly framed, next all tabs one-click selected are verticaly tiled with it ; new such doubleclick desactivates this feature ; inspired from an old suggestion
This double click combination with ctrl, shift or anything else could select the kind of tiling, this means if this is vertical tiling (which is the most used) or horizontal tiling. This special tiling is for both pages only. I can add a third one, more general :
- Double-click adds (or get away) one more tile area to the current tiling already shown ; this is could become obvious if the current tiled tabs shown are highlighted as I suggested a time ago

I would be extremely happy to see an option to reload tab on double-click. REALLY miss that from my old FF.

Since I would like it to be possible to get to the top of the page by double-clicking on the tab, I suggest that the desired action should be limited only by the actions available in Vivaldi, so that everyone can define the assignment according to his or her liking. Maybe even assign command chains?

Please add a new category to tab settings called "double click on tab" and give us some choices under it to select what it does. Example...
Double click on tab...
- Select tab [using sticky selection, an alternative to CTRL or SHIFT clicking]
- Clone tab
- Move tab to other Vivaldi window
Similarly, also add "triple click on tab" and "quadruple click on tab".

Amen. I reload pages more than I close them. Double-clicking to do so would be very handy.
