@stardust Cannot reproduce. I general use Ctrl+Q, but Ctrl+Shift+Del also works fine.
Looks like when the cursor in the input field Ctrl+Shift+Del doesn't work

it works for me
Just tested on Windows 7 - works everytime. So it is linux-related.

I have two Win10x64 machines with Vx64.
On one machine the Mix/Max/Close icons in the upper, right corner look like this (all black, will never use white icons):
One the other machine the icons look like this (all white):
The viewed page is the same on both machines. "Accent Color from Active Page" is enabled on both. The horizontal menu text and the navigation icons to the left of the address field change correctly to black or white depending on the page color on both machines.
It has been like this for many snapshots.
Any idea why this happens?

The profile has many components (files and folders). Is it possible to pinpoint which component is causing the error? Can I copy this file/folder from the "good" machine?Thanks again.

Sometimes, yes. Usually, no.

@ayespy: Tried with new profile. Was OK the first time I visited the problem page. Then I visited some other pages and came back to the first one. Now the upper, right icons are always black again ...
EDIT:
I think I found it: It happens if I enable "Show Window Background Image" -
Two weeks with no new snap, I hope we'll see something today or tomorrow

@saudiqbal Every time there is a delay, users begin to comment as though something must be wrong, the team must be losing their edge, Vivaldi is not trying to keep up the pace, whatever.
None of these are the case. Those of us involved on the testing end are aware of factors introduced by Chromium changes that have erected very annoying barriers to progress, and have resulted in major re-writes of more than one part of the browser. While that is going on, new versions of Chromium keep coming out, and ongoing adjustments have to be made for these.
The work continues apace (except that, as in every year, several staff take summer holidays, which always temporarily slows progress - causing users every year to become alarmed at the slowdown) and we continue to get closer to the next snapshot and the next stable. It is also a fact that some of the changes recently made to the code should make it easier to resume a good pace of releases, unless Chromium once again does something totally unexpected.
New versions will come out, bugs and regressions will be fixed, the browser will get better and better, and all will be right with the world.

The symptoms seems eerily similar to a bug that was happening many many versions ago. Except the last time the browser was freezing when a tab was closed. Now it happens when a new page is loaded.
But it doesn't happen on all pages, and this was something that made it hard to reproduce the last time I encountered the bug.
I think it may be related to the uBlock Origin extension, as a clean profile doesn't exhibit any problems. However, I've also noticed this occurring on pages where uBlock Origin was active but wasn't blocking any requests.

it would have been needed now, but unfortunately, the entire full webpage does not work as a screenshot. It only shows the visible part, the rest black.

Yes I've seen Ayespy reminding everyone "it will be done when it is done."
I KNOW it is good ole Google's continual messing with the engine that is giving you all the trouble and lots of it. But REALLY I am totally getting tired of using FF. Vivaldi.... has so many features I want and have gotten used to ( haven't even used 1/2 of them) Is there the slightest possibility you could get out a usable update? Anything would be better than this SS.

If an update is made and doesn't fix your personal issue, it wouldn't change anything.

Yes, I know you NEVER have problems and are perfect.....use your same logic, so it works for you big deal! It doesn't for others they just give up.
My cursor locks up on some links can't change pages..extensions don't work the few that I use. Logons don't work, same ones in FF do, I could go on. I cannot log on to SS through Vivaldi have to use FF it returns to logon page everytime doesn't continue to link.
I don't go to FF cause all the problems are in in my head and I enjoy it. I go to it cause I don't have those problems.
How do you know it wouldn't fix my "personal issue" without an update I guess you are psychic or Superior. -

There is no need to be psychic. If one user reports an issue or issues not experienced by others the reason is often something specific to their hardware, other installed software, extensions, or just a workflow that stresses Vivaldi in unusual ways.
Updating the Vivaldi version often won't change any of the above. Cleaning your profile might fix the issue.
