An update to our Chromium engine – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.15.1125.3

@killchain I've been noticing more places where gestures act a bit janky, particularly the right-click+scroll one to switch tabs.
-
@lonm Which experiment activates the Bookmarks Menu?
-
@luetage I want to change the Gesture for "Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link).
I deleted Gesture for "Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link), then use the + button to find Gesture for "Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link) and draw a new gesture. The gesture doesn't work.

@raymm3852 No idea, for me it works, although I don't need it… The gesture I input is up and right, but I don't think this matters at all (also this specific gesture may already be taken, if you haven't edited the standard gestures).
-
In the changelog are listed the fixed bugs, right?
-
@luetage The gesture I want to set is a pull down. In the default gestures, this is set for a new background tab. I delete that gesture. Then set up the gesture for Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link). But doesn't work.
Also, I set keyboard Ctrl Q to Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link). But Ctrl Q opens a new tab, not Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link).

@wudini Similarly: I want to change the Gesture for "Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link).
I deleted Gesture for "Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link), then use the + button to find Gesture for "Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link) and draw a new gesture. The gesture doesn't work.

@raymm3852 This one, for me it's at the top of the list:
-
@lonm Hi, please where is this option?
-
@burbuja in the address bar, type vivaldi://experiments
-
@killchain:
I've noticed gestures occasionally not firing. It seems to happen if you perform a gesture while a page is still loading. Or at least if you try to perform a gesture very early in the page load.
A few times gestures stopped working on a page. But I haven't noticed a pattern.

@kev216 confirmed. Win 7 32 bit, file the bug please.

@linfan Vivaldi doesn't "pick" its chromium builds. It intakes them as they are made ready by the Chromium Project, and as the developers are able to make them workable on the new engine version. This is necessary to keep pace with security fixes if nothing else.
Bookmarks in the main menu are still there. You just have to go to vivaldi://experiments and enable them again. Work is still being done on the feature.
It is known that there are some bugs and regressions with this Chromium 65 intake, and a lot of hard work had to be done just to get it usable at all. Vivaldi is now looking to the community to help find all of the rough edges so that they can be smoothed out. If being on the bleeding edge is uncomfortable for a user, they should stick with the stable version.
But the developers only skip a Chromium version if it's simply hopeless to get a workable version out. -
Since mouse guesture always doesn't work at my one PC, I think I will not update for PC where I work.
-
Accidentally get the developer tools resized to minimum and can't get in back to normal ^_^

It would be nice to have auto hide bookmarks bar underneath the address bar, just like chrome which hides after clicking on them.

Thanks a bunch guys for
[Regression] Visual tab cycler switches to hovered tab (VB-35255)
Something I noticed in this version (Win7/64 & not tried Debian yet):
when highlighting the text of a long article (both normal and reader mode, up- and downwards) using the pressed left mouse button and you briefly move mouse pointer of browser GUI and back to "inner" browser area where website is shown you can not continue selecting more text, the scrolling up or down does not continue.
The sad bit: I honestly don't know whether it was like that all the time or whether it is just with this version. Definitely no biggie but I thought I'd mention it. -
Really glad you guys added the quick commands suggestion -- great update!

@rogerwilco: << typonese black belt
- move mouse pointer over browser GUI and back to

@ayespy V. did not remember this option as enabled. Is it OK?
