An update to our Chromium engine – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.15.1125.3
-
Update has broken LastPass Chrome extension - it drops down but is completly unresponsive.
-
@craigmillar: I can confirm that issue with the extension, but not that it is unresponsive. Just that it won't see screen bounds and menu will go off screen.
-
Well I'll be damned. A photo of my hometown on Vivaldi snapshot blog.
-
@dzabler: Like you I have lots of windows and tabs in each. The black windows was happening. I reduced the number of tabs. Now I can get Vivaldi to start but it takes a few tries sometimes. By that I mean I launch Vivaldi, Vivaldi gets stuck, I kill Vivaldi in Process Manager, I re-launch Vivaldi, eventually it has been starting. Obviously I don't restart Vivaldi often because I'm afraid it will stop starting. I hope this gets concretely fixed.

@mozpri: Bled?
-
@gort: This gesture is certainly broken (Vivaldi 64 bit - Win 10, 64 bit)! I'm hoping for a correction soon! I work almost exclusively with the mouse and the only thing I can't stand is a mouse gesture problem!
PS I've found some more problems with gestures, for example top/bottom of page gesture is not working too - in general mouse behavior is problematic
PS 2 Close tab gesture does not work in some sites -
@solidsnake: Yes
-
Still not launching maximized all the time.
-
Wow! On my non-production machine page loads have speed up dramatically and are very noticeable on this website which was always slow:
-
@rotfl: D'oh!
-
After login to the Synology DSM in my own network via https I only see a blank page. In the Edge Browser it works.

This snapshot breaks the extension chromium-vim (or cVim for short) in rather a substantial manner.
Specifically; one can not type in the input bar (i.e. the one that shows up from pressing 't' or 'o' for example), thus rendering the entire extension useless. Furthermore, this input bar can no longer be closed using escape. I have confirmed that it works with Chrome Version 65.0.3325.162 (64-bit) so the problem appears to be on your end.
This is using Arch Linux, by the way. Please let me know if you require further details.

ooer. Moving tabs out into new windows causes them to get stuck in a "loading" state - you can't even use the stop button.
-
This is not a nice snapshot, so I will bluntly ignore it and go one step back
-
@linfan: One of the main reasons for making snapshots available to users is so that they can inform the team of specific problems that have arisen in a given snapshot. Without specific information, your comment is unhelpful and irrelevant to discussion of the snapshot. Did you want to mention some specific problem(s)?

Well, I really enjoyed the Bokmarks in the main menu and then reading all the buts with this build, makes me wonder, why on earth pick such a chromium build that has that many known issues? Is it again some security thing or did you just drop the hand down in the chromium bowl and pick up a random build to see how it works or do not work? What criteria do you use for the vivaldi candadate snapshots? I am not being sarcastic, just sad
-
Is it just me, or gestures are really less responsive than they were?

Same with the Hangouts extension, see: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/25926/hangouts-extension-not-working-after-update-to-1-15-1125-3-1

@nutcracker: When is scoll down to the description, not a single gesture works.
-
@nutcracker: If you're talking about Scroll Page to Top/Bottom, both gestures work fine for me. I use left>right to go to the top; right>left to go to the bottom.
