Vivaldi 1.15 begins – Vivaldi browser Snapshot 1.15.1089.3

@ayespy It was mean, sorry. But i just failed utterly in my attempt at self-control. I did think / hope though that you would know i wrote in love not spite.
-
VB-36600 -- still a problem, even in the brand spanking new shiny 1.15.1089.3 [ie, updating SD TNs still crashes V]. This time it took several minutes of SD TN updates [albeit very few TNs actually did update; kinda like V is trying but failing to perform the update task] before the total crash occurred... but it still occurred. Thus, with this bug cursing the past several Snapshots, & now sadly carrying over into the new 1.14 Stable, i no longer have any way to update my SD TNs in V.
-
@ayespy: yes.
-
@ayespy: I renamed it temporarily to force creation of a new one.
P.S. I cannot post here from Vivaldi!! Using (as Steffie would say) shudder Google chrome. -

Oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, come back from the Dark Side. You must use The Force for good, not evil. Who's ya father?
-
@steffie: LOL Thanks for your concern! GC loaded temporarily (profile in /tmp) only to post here since V won't let me log in to its own blog!? There's a disturbance in the force.

Indeed there is! Just wondering, more seriously, why not use Chromium rather than That Which Shall Not Be Named, as a backup browser?

Doc Vivaldi says: Never try this at home, dear kids
Funny - just tried the checkboxes without list indicator (asterisk or dash) in front, viewed Markdown, closed and reopened panel - all is well. After adding the dashes it even showed the correct list in markdown.
Might this be OS dependent?

@luetage It's OK. Fewer than one in a thousand users even know there is such a thing, much less are trying to use it.
Added Vivaldi in the Wiki article, so more people get to know about V featuring it if they accidentally read the article...
-
@luetage I can confirm this one as well.
-
Very very bad, I lost everything, I trusted, now only a grey screen. . . .
-
@steffie: GC: the last resort, but it always works I expect a time out from the moderator now.
-
Homepage is broken when setting it as startpage, and startpage as controlled by extension. appears to show the newtab page momentarily, then blanks it. Also, user-specified homepage of vivaldi://newtab or chrome-extension://<something> still cannot be done.
-
@gwen-dragon On 1.14, I somehow managed to set homepage to vivaldi://newtab but on 1.15, I can't seem to do that. it keeps putting http:// at the beginning as I type.
-
@floridamatt Reported as: (VB-37088) Difficult to Type Localhost File Path for Home Page
Select the http:// part and hit delete or backspace.
Or, paste the entire URL in at once.
-
@floridamatt Copy this line and paste it into settings, then it will work.
-
@gwen-dragon: Thank you, posting from Vivaldi
-
Private window -> skype web -> clicking both Allow or Deny in the "Show notifications" popup doesn't wok.

@gwen-dragon
Dear developers!
You just messed up Notes with your innovative experiments.
Here is the result. Good trusting people lost all their records. Are you satisfied? Stop it and return Notes to the simplest and most reliable version, as it was in Opera 12.
At the moment it would be better to focus on fixing many old bugs which are becoming more and more.
Good luck! -
Developers? Where is the fix ? ? ?
Me are forced to move away from Vivaldi. . .Mod Edit: Screenshot removed.
