Vivaldi 1.15 begins – Vivaldi browser Snapshot 1.15.1089.3

@ayespy Oh damn, I know chords, but I didn't know chording and that this is a thing with mice. Thanks.
-
@luetage It's OK. Fewer than one in a thousand users even know there is such a thing, much less are trying to use it. I know of it, but the most sophisticated thing I have ever done with mouse buttons is a rocker gesture.

What about annoying bug with bringing to front wrong window when opening link?...
-
Update: on the home PC it didn't happen, both PCs are Win7 32bit.
-
The old bug Holding MMB and scrolling selects text is here

I have 2 windows open, the links I open in one don't bring the other window in front for me, but are opened in new tabs on the same 2nd window.
How to reproduce your problem? -
Notes panel exploded and didn'd come back after restart when I typed
on the beginning of existing noteBEWARE !!!
Do not add (with space on end) on the beginning of note!
This will probably cause Notes panel to crash when You switch to Markdown view.
You will have to manually edit settings / notes file to recover Notes panel! -
@ian-coog I have 2 windows: Incognito & normal.
When I click links they are opened in new tab in normal window but incognito window is shown...
Happens in 1.14 (including stable)
This is pissing me off...
Especially when I have to show something on my PC to other people... -
Oh... also the bug with spacing above tabs in maximized window still exist in newly created windows...)
It have been reported by dozen of people but it still happens -
Import notes from opera (v7 notes) please
This is v7 notes:

Updated to the latest snapshot and all I get when it starts is a grey screen with the Vivaldi logo. Tried downloading via another browser the 32 bit and 64 bit versions and installed those but still the same. Any suggestions? Could go back to 1.14 but would have to delete 1.15 and start again, don't want to lose all my bookmarks. Is it good enough to just save the bookmarks file to another location?
-
@petercollyer Please carefully read all of the material at the Topic concerning how to refresh your profile. You will see that bookmarks, etc. can easily be saved, plugged in to new installs, etc. However, you will also see a procedure that might make 1.15 work all bright and shiny like new for you, without losing data.
-
@rotfl that's a pretty serious bug. Though it's nice that it gets contained to the notes panel and didn't crash the whole browser.
-
@ayespy Thanks for trying but the 'refresh your profile' instructions begin with 'Open Vilvaldi and access the main menu...' There is no main menu, it opens with a grey screen with the Vivaldi logo in the centre, that's all, nothing else, no bars, tabs or menus of any kind.
-
Authorization and AdBlock Plus ext. is still broken.
Also, side panel switch is on top of fullscreen videos now:
-
@petercollyer OK - what is your OS, and did you do anything special when installing Opera, like change the destination directory?
-
@ruario: I have the same problem with gray screen. Unfortunately, a fresh profile does not fix it here. 1.13.1008.44 works well, all 1.14 and 1.15 give gray screen. Error message reads "...Failed to connect to the bus: Could not parse server address: Unknown address type..." 64-bit deb, Fatdog Linux 721
-
@wognath That's a bug caused by Chromium 64, and specific to only certain sites (and to magnet links I think?), which is being worked on. The vast majority of us never see such sites, and so do not see the bug. But it is known and being worked on.
-
@ruario: I have the same problem. Ihave only the grey screen with the logo. Iuse Linux mint 18.3
-
same happens if I click on Display All, even in vivaldi://settings
