@yes.aravind
It is not directly "hidden" as it is stored in the normal chrome setting environment but I hope that it will get ported into the normal vivaldi settings at some point.
You can have a look yourself atvivaldi://chrome/settings
what is stored there. -
@D0J0P
Customisation should extend to the scrollbars and the menus too. -
@glweb and crypt stored passwords with master password as used to do Opera.
-
Yes very good idea !! With encrypted history and other user data !!

Multiple browsing contexts
Right now Vivaldi has two contexts, "normal" and "private". These contexts have their own cookies, etc. and are of different types: "persistent" and "temporary". (my naming)
What I propose is that the browser should support arbitrary number of user-defined contexts. That is, there can be multiple persistent contexts (for instance "work", "school") that do not see each others' data, so you can for example be logged in to the same website with two different accounts, and have the contents of these two contexts persist across browser restarts. But there should also be possibility for multiple temporary contexts, meaning that there could be multiple private windows open in different contexts, and all the history of the context will be deleted upon closing of the window (or last tab for the context).

Save Tab Stack to Speed Dial
Save a tab stack as a group with all the websites in it to speed dial so that you could select it from speed dial and open all the websites in the saved stack with one click.
-
@Pa9k context menu allows you to bookmark a stack. It saves as a folder of bookmarks named "stack" in your root folder. You can then move and/or rename that folder. When you open the folder, it does open all the bookmarks at once, but separately so that you would have to re-stack them.
Speed dial is just a bookmark folder. It can be ANY (or more than one) folder. So what you're looking for is to be able to save a stack to a specific folder, without having to move or rename it.

A transparent (adjustable and draggable) download pop-up for few or selected seconds (open the image and look bottom-right)

FEATURE REQUEST: CPU and RAM Optimizations
The cpu usage in vivaldi is a little high compared to other browsers, it's most noticeable when playing videos....
Also it eats a lot of RAM memory, even with just a few tabs open (e.g less than 10)... I find myself losing tabs very quickly, If I have a good amount of tabs open, the ones opened first will die pretty quick, and when I try to open one of those tabs it will load the page from scratch, which is bad, because most of my tabs gives me desktop notifications and when they die I got nothing....
In Opera for example I can let tabs stay there idle for a while but the page almost never die, desktop notifications and stuff always work, not reload from scratch... -
Ctrl-number should be programmable to specific URLs.
In the current scheme, Ctrl-number goes to the corresponding open tab number. With tab sleeping and stacking, most of us have many tabs open, and the current scheme has become useless.
Better would be to map Ctrl-number to the tiles on Speed Dial, and IMO, best would be to map them to custom URLs.

@paul1149 Just to say that there's at least one good case for the current setup. I have about ten tabs always pinned (mail, calendar, drive, keep and a few non-google things) and ctrl-number is a simple way to get to them. I do understand that what you're suggesting is more general, but pinned tabs save space on the tab bar for things you use a lot. don't know what alt-number does (at a spot check, nothing) - perhaps that would be an alternative?
-
Colored bookmark folders like in the Google Drive storage system.
-
More options for adjusting the Speed Dial image.
Something like the image below ...Example -
Option to remove history from the address bar. Currently we can remove the typed history, it would be great to remove the history as well.
-
Add the option to hibernate tabs to the right or left.
-
Add the option to reload all tabs within a guide stack.
-
The option to warn the user whenever you close (via shortcut or button) Vivaldi and you have a bunch of tabs open, with the option to customize how many tabs you have to open to warn you. Similar to Firefox but with this custom tab number option
