Hi
How can I made Polski forum?
On MO I'm JaDo member since 2004Welcome, JaDo2.
I've made Polski forum. It's under the Language forum.
Enjoy! -
The german frontpage has some mistakes.
Some of them really should not be there any more because I already sent the corrected version some days ago β¦
Blog:
According to the Duden "Blog" can be neutrum or masculinum, depending on which part or the republic you come from. Wikipedia prefers "das" too and from the stem it would be "das" because neither Web nor Log are masculinum in both languages :pE-Mail:
The translation nearer to the original would have been:
"Erleben Sie werbefreie E-Mails" <-- NOOOOO!The "Dienst" translation is better, but I would change a bit more to:
"Nutzen Sie unseren werbefreien E-Mail-Dienst"
because we don't use "some" ad-free E-Mail service but a quite specific one.Chat:
"Nutzen Sie "Meine Unterhaltungen", um mit Ihren Freunden zu chatten"Forum:
The text for the forums was different indeed - but there seems to be a length constraint so the rest was simply cut off. Longer sentences are not possible
My suggested change was
"Diskutieren Sie mt anderen Personen"
I would suggest changing it to:
"Diskutieren Sie mit Ihren Freunden"
and we could discuss in the German subforum if a neutral "Personen" or "Leute" would be better suited instead of "Freunde"
(for some people the word "Freunde (friends)" is still something special, despite facebook)I am happy to discuss the issues with you here:

I would gladly translate Vivaldi into Portuguese.

I guess you didn't get my PM? I will send it again now. Thank you for offering to translate!

Hi,
Important information for those of you who have been working on, or would want to work on having their language supported on Vivaldi.net:
[ul]
-
Some of the building blocks of Vivaldi.net needs to be translated. They are EasySocial, EasyBlog and Kunena Forums. There are projects available for many languages hosted by Transifex. You can simply sign up, become part of the translation team, and help getting your language completed for these modules. For us to be able to support a language those three modules need to be available in your language.
-
Links to the projects:
https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/easysocial/
https://opentranslators.transifex.com/projects/p/easyblog/
https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/Kunena/- We can not promise support for any language even if all the modules are made available, so either post here or contact me in PM before you start working on any of them.

Salut Christian,
[β¦]You can simply sign up, become part of the translation team,[β¦]
It's not so simple to have to contribute to three different projects without knowing them all or even what parts/modules of them are really used or will be used on Vivaldi.netβ¦
I'll try to understand the new Transifex system (logged as "ra_mon there), perhaps not so different than the old MyOpera transifex...
At this time and IMHO, FR translation for Vivaldi.net homepage is still weird... so i prefer the english version

The three modules used in Vivaldi.net are: EasySocial, EasyBlog and Kunena. I do provide that information to the ones who volunteers to help with translations and in the post you quote of course Feel free to ask me further questions in PM if you have them!
As for French I can not comment much since I unfortunately do not know the language. I'm sure we'll get it improved over time though and I really appreciate that you point out shortcomings in translations we are not able to quality proof ourselves.

Please let me know when you are ready to help us getting an Italian translation in place. I hope you find a good reason to do so eventually!

I hope you find a good reason to do so eventually!
The Vivaldi community probably will exist in the future to support the upcoming Vivaldi.com new products (?) so, when i'll know what about these new things are, i'll be able to decide if my time will be well spent in supporting this community or not, like in the old My Opera in support of the old great Opera browser.
Ciao, Igor
