Feature requests for 1.9 / 1.10
-
@pafflick Cool! I didn't know that feature was there.
Using kubuntu Linux, I get the list and if I select any entry, I have the option to view the password or delete the entry. It does not ask me for any further authentication.
Unless I am missing something, this appears to be a huge security hole. If I walk away from my computer for even a few moments without locking the screen, etc., someone could potentially see a number of my passwords.
I do not ever save any of my financial/critical passwords in any browser, but there are plenty of less sensitive sites where someone could gain access to information or impersonate me.
This is why Firefox has a Master Password feature as the OP mentions.
In Firefox, they could access my sites while they were using my computer, but they could not see the passwords to save them for use later somewhere else.

@Pesala Not on my computer, it doesn't. Just retested. kubuntu Linux, 1.8.770.56 (Stable channel) (64-bit).
I cannot highlight more than one entry at a time using Ctrl-left click or Ctrl+left click.
Ctrl+Shift-left click does something immediately. I haven't played with it much, but it seems to open the page in a new window instead of in a new tab. I did something that opened multiple tabs, but I wasn't trying to do that.

@josephj11 You do have to enter a master password to show the passwords.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb on Win 10 64-bit • Snapshot 1.9.818.3

@josephj11 Try disabling single-click to open bookmarks.

Option to disable rename file while downloading
I mean remove extention ".crdownload" like it was in Opera 12. Reason is adding multiple media files to playlist.
Now if u add more files while downloading to playlist and download is finished while watching first file, next file will be renamed and player wouldnt play the rest of them.

Loading page status bar at the bottom of the page
It would be nice to have loading status bar down like at Opera 12.

@CheVe11e_191 said in Feature requests for 1.9 / 1.10:
If save Tab Stack which is renamed for example Test name 1, and save it to bookmarks, it creates only a folder called Stack. Then again I must rename this folder in the bookmark manager. Please add a feature to automatically save rename the title tab stack.
and could be created the "Stack" folder with the subfolders that will be the names you gave to the tab stack.
-
Add option "new tab stack from selected tab" to quick command.

@anonvc great idea

Export Bookmark Description and Bookmark Bar/Speed Dial options
When I import bookmarks from a Vivaldi installation to other one it could copy the Description field too and which folders are marked as "show on bookmark bar" and/or "show on speed dial"

Screenshot feature improvement
I suggest some things:
if possible, I could save in video format too. Or GIF one.
- Add any mouse gesture/keyboard command to it
- Choose where to save the capture, or defining other place to be saved by default or/and choose where to save when captures.- Save in a date/time format

@aderitobonito See my somewhat similar request for sticky cookies.

@elricks I don't want to hijack your request, but when I select Print, it doesn't even have the X. It just sits there until it's ready to display the print dialog. A spinner would be nice for this as well.
As of 1.8 or just before, they did some serious magic to make the print dialog appear much faster, so it's not as big of an issue as it was before. I had some pages taking 7 minutes to display the print dialog and now it's a few seconds.

@Al-Khwarizmi Does the same on Linux. I thought it was rather odd too.
-
@Pesala I do not see that on Linux. That's the way I would like it to be.
-
@Pesala Yup. That works. Thanks! Issue solved.

Add a shortcut to "Show/Hide" images...

Integrate 'Find in Page' with Search UI
The search box has a neat drop-down to select between different search engines. I think it would be cool to have some 'internal' search engines added to this list. Simplest would be an alternative UI for 'Find in Page'. But the concept could be extended for example with 'Find in all tabs', 'Find in History' etc.
As well as allowing for added features while avoiding UI bloat, this would provide for an integrated search history. It would be easy for example to first search for a given text in the open tabs and if you failed to find it there expand the search out onto the internet. -
Multiple bookmarks edit
Sometimes sites add (or delete) support https or change domain name.

Bring back an easy way to access the SSL/TLS information.
With older versions of Vivaldi it was possible to get the certificate information, the used protocols, algorithms and the key strength by clicking on the padlock in the address bar and "Details". Now there's a link there to a "pretty useless" Chrome help site explaining the meaning of the icons.By the way the German Federal Office for Information Security lately published a table with basic requirements for secure web browsers [sorry, I couldn't find an English version] and Edge failed, because it's not possible there to display the used protocol and cypher suite, while Chrome 56 and therefore older Vivaldi passed this.
