Shuffling of extensions – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.9.804.3
-
What we really need is the Developer Tools to work like it does in Chrome. We need it to DOCK and we need the mobile tab. I want to stop using Firefox and Chrome, but you keep holding off on fixing the developer tab so I can't use you as my main browser. I would donate money for to fix this issue.

@floweringmind: Your requests here are and have been in progress. They will be released as soon as the developers can get them working right.
-
@reiner1302 Yes, but on which sites?
-
@reiner1302 Working fine for me.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb on Win 10 64-bit • Snapshot 1.9.804.3
-
No idea. Try clearing your browsing data and restart Vivaldi.
-
@reiner1302 Yes, please give an example. It's working for me everywhere it did prior to this snapshot.
-
@ruario: I know, but unfortunately now shortcuts are disabled, so I can't enable them back so easily. Now I have to open preferences through the V menu and find the setting to enable them back.
-
@juniorsilva30: Yes, I also think they should stay. Was just pointing that the bug has a root cause.
-
Have some strange overlapping in interface since installing last snapshot.
All websites lost like 5 pixels from top. Even scrollbar and sidebar of vivaldi itself are cut.
Browser is in fullscreen mode. Win10 x64, Vivaldi 1.9.804.3 x32

ARGH!!!! The Address bar bug is back again...
When I load Vivaldi and start typing in the Address bar, there is a long delay before it decides to start finding possible options. Sometime during the updates for 1.8 the bug was introduced. The only way to fix things is to completely wipe out the history file but having to wipe out the history file every 2-3 weeks makes the Address bar and the history section pointless.

In the downloads panel, I can't select multiple entries with shift+click/ctrl+click anymore.
-
You guys should check out microsoft edge latest version. It has an intuitive way of setting tabs aside for use later. It also allow you to play ebooks now. Could these features be added to Vivaldi. Thanks
-
@TLGreg You can still use shortcuts to select all, but what you observe is correct. Probably a regression.
-
This is awesome! So many good fixes in this snapshot.
In history, would love to be able to resize the monthly view. (To get a smaller-looking calendar with more space for page names on the right)
-
@TLGreg Definitely a bug, which I have reported.
(VB-27387) Unable to Select Multiple Downloads in Panel
-
@Steffie How large are the pixels on your screen that you use such a small interface?
-
@Dystasia For me, the whole viewport area of your browser flickers on that recording. The UI of the browser is not flickering. I don't have such issues (and never had, as far as I remember) with my GTX970, nVidia drivers 378.49 (probably outdated, but I don't care) with hardware acceleration turned on. Have you tried messing around with some settings in the nVidia Display Control Panel? Perhaps there lies the problem?
I'm using Vivaldi 1.8.770.54 (Stable) / 1.9.804.3 (Snapshot) (both 32-bit on Windows 10 x64), by the way...
-
@SVGuss Do you have any clue what may be causing this? What are you doing when this bug appears, what sites do you visit? Is this bug reproducible? It didn't occur to me so far...
-
@floweringmind You can donate to Vivaldi (in a way), while you're being promised that this issue is being worked on and taken care of.
-
@dLeon Launching new window is significantly faster in the Snapshot, although I use a bunch of extension in the Stable, whereas in Snapshot I use none. I haven't tested it with clean profiles yet...
