Perhaps a feature where someone can add custom thumbnails to the speed dial bookmarks by right clicking on the speed dial thumbnail and having a set custom thumbnail option in the context menu then browse for the new thumbnail icon.

@zaibon This, so much this one yes. I'm used to be able to see address bar and tabs while fullscreen from other browsers, that i wondered why this wonderfull browser does not do it? !!

More Resources Friendly Hibernate Background Tab Behavior
Problem: Vivaldi will freeze for a long time (sometimes hang) whenever i use this function, because of that i rarely use it.
Suggestions:

Don't hibernate all background tab at once when user execute the command to prevent freeze & hang on weaker machine.

Instead, hibernate one tab at a time (or a few tabs for more powerful machine).

Display info popup to inform user how many % of tab are hibernated, & when task are 100% complete.

Gray-out/dimmed hibernate tabs, so user know which tab are hibernated.

Ability to move menu-button from left to right
This will very quickly open the first tab, just moving mouse left up and making a click. (Sorry for google translate) -
Always open new tab from address bar
Currently, there are already options to open new tab from either "alt+enter" or "shift + enter", I'd like to have the option to select just "enter" and use "alt + enter" to reuse the current tab instead. -

add an option to use a new tab, whenever following a link to a page on a different domain. -
button to delete bookmark
when hovered over marked (or maybe even not only marked) bookmark on bookmarks page, similar to feature of tabs. I know the "- Delete" button on top bar, but now I've found, it would be more convenient, consistent and along intuition built operating tabs. -
Focus on current tab on tab panel
as a shortcut or switchable feature, or other. I consider this to be helpful, when there is a lot, lot, lot of opened tabs and sometimes I need to jump from one page on the beginning of tab list to somewhere in the middle or to the end. ctrl+tab works perfectly for jumps, but it does not focus on the current tab position on tab list. Therefore, when I have in mind that some another tab near by the other tab (ctrl+tab to it) has some related info and I would like to access it quickly, then to do it currently, tab panel has to be scrolled (in my case a lot, lot, lot
) to right or near by position. I hope, my description is not too much enigmatic... -
Bandwidth/Traffic Limiter for Browser, Plugins, & Extension
Problem: Some website & extension are too aggressive in bandwidth usage, causing background download from weaker server constantly disconnected/dead.

Need a GUI & shortcut to set limit for website, plugins, & extension. Preferably on address/status bar

Maybe add an option for smart bandwidth management to limit bandwidth usage when detect traffic congestion from external apps.

Then maybe insert an icon on the tab, like unread tab got a folded corner. I suggest insert a superscript "Z" at the end of hibernated tab.

Please add this option in the web panel, show the number of unread messages as shown in the tab, it would be great to have this also in the web panel.

@pafflick There should be an option to resize automatically so all speed dial items are visible all the time, like my Firefox addon does: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bookmark-dial/

Allow keyboard navigation in download dialog (dialogs in general)
Sometimes I have to download a lot of files and have to switch fast between "save as" and just "save". When the download dialog popus up I intuitively press my arrow keys to navigate them. -
Option always ask where to save files
If I download a lot of files and have to save them at different locations it would be more practocal to have the "save as" dialog come up. -
