@ArchCarrier You misunderstand. I know the menu can be hidden in the vivaldi button. However I want the entire top row of the program removed, and the vivaldi button added to the next row. This would also remove the minimize, maximize and exit buttons. It's a waste of space to use up an entire row on a vivladi button / horizontal menu and the window controls...
However your comment has made me realize... This is important when you use tabs on the side.
If you have tabs on top and the horizontal menu you have three rows of information. The menu, the tabs, and the location row.
If you have tabs on top, the vivalid button, you have two rows of information. The vivaldi button and tabs on one row. The location information.
If you have tabs on side and vivaldi button, you have two rows, one with the vavlid button, and the location inforamtion

@pafflick This is technically already possible.
However, I believe that this is actually a bug. -
@AltCode Yeah, you can override this with a shortcut (by pinning each tab in the stack individually), however, it's impossible to do that via drag&drop or the context menu and thus adding new tabs to the stack is not possible either. You can't unpin such stack, so you have to ungroup the tabs first. Not really convenient...

Option to "Always open file" in addition to "Always save file" when downloading.
-
@ArchCarrier Not possible when tabs at side or bottom. Only the tabs go into the at top - not the adress bar.
-
@gezley I strongly support this. Chrome should be grey and content white. If we choose a light theme the settings page changes to show proper colors. The menu is grey and the content is white. A white panel background stops me from using the light themes.

Find and Replace:
I work in Wordpress, especially with visual composer which uses a lot of short codes.
It would be great if we could search and replace in the text or visual editor box. It would be a great time saver. As it is Ctrl F (find) will just highlight the text which is very basic. I suggest that it brings up by default a find/ find and replace box.

Better Extension Management
Similar to the excellent extension "Extensity" but baked in.
Ability to hibernate extensions and group them according to your current activity and needs.Eg: Web design - have measurement, css, color picker type extensions active.
Just browsing - none of the above, but have pintrist, trello, google keep etc active. But never all at the same time. See here

@Guilimote
I do this as well,
Also I think there is a bug - you can drag a preview from one stack to another.
BUT if you try and create a new Tab stack by dragging a preview from one tab stack onto a single tab,
It then sucks the single tab into the existing tab stack which surely if I wanted that to happen I would drag the tab into the stack. -
In address bar and Bookmarks manager search field, allow any-order keyword searching, instead of relying on exact substring matching to fetch bookmark and history entries for the dropdown.
Take for example, a page with the title "Old" Flexbox and "New" Flexbox | CSS-Tricks.
In Opera 12, if you visit that page or bookmark it, and type into Opera 12's address bar
old flex
, it brings up the page, but in Vivaldi only exact substrings match -- e.g. you must typeold" flex
, quotation mark included.Sometimes I find myself trying to remember an old, half-remembered bookmark and want to narrow the results by multiple keywords that I know appeared in the bookmark's title or description, but I don't always remember the full phrases, let alone punctuation. I'll sometimes deliberately add a list of keywords to a bookmark's description; back when I was using Opera 12 I could then call up the bookmark from the address bar by typing keywords in any order.
Note that the History manager search field in Vivaldi actually already does allow any-order keyword searching, although it currently requires you to hit a "Search history" button, rather than filtering as you type.
(Historical note: Opera 12 itself was a little inconsistent: The address bar and the history manager's search field were ok with words in any order, but the bookmark manager's search field did require an exact string match.)

Collapsed/expanded tree for folders when add a bookmark via urlbar.
Now all the folders are shown and could be unpratical if one have a lot of them. Keeping them collapsed, and expanding only when need would be cool
-
Ability to place the address and tab bar directly above the content pane. The will make mouse moves - back and forth across the screen from the nav buttons to the content scrollbar - much shorter.

Text only vertical tab cycler
The current tab cycler pop up uses thumbnails horizontally with the current selection in the middle and only displays the page title of the selected tab. A tab cycler like Opera (the real one) used to have, vertical list with just the page names, would be much easier to use and manage, especially with more than the 7 tabs the current cycler can display.
-
Double clicking empty space above address bar (where tabs are located) opens a new tab (like in old Opera) instead of resizing window.
-
Link opener behavior for Mouse button & Keyboard
-
The link opener behavior should be always control by user, not the website & javascript. Vivaldi need to give this control back to user.
-
Please add setup for "Open link in current/background/new tab" for all mouse buttons. Example: Left-click for open in current tab, & middle-click for background tab, & extra button to do more stuff.

- The main missing is that there is no synchronizing functions (for bookmarks, for themes, for options, for magic fill, for passwords and for extensions). Maxton has all of this ! I have many computers, home, laptop, work and synchronizing is an extraordinary benefit. This is the main missing that I remain with Maxton.
-
- you cannot change the order of folders in quick access window using drag and drop
-
- you have not an options to not use a capture image of the selected site. Maxton has the option to use caption text as image.
-
- Bookmarks bar shortcut for links has the same white icon, not the favicon of the used site. If you want to use "Only icon" you have many icons alike, that is a problem !

History Window, theme compliant
Having theme set to dark, I'm always "scared" to search history. It's an aggressive eyeballs kicker...
