Snapshot 1.5.618.8 - Drag tabs between windows and performance improvements
-
Opening new tabs is very slow in this build.
-
Thanks for the hard work guys! Has there been a timetable given on when we can expect browser syncing? It's the one key feature keeping me from using Vivaldi full-time.
-
Never a timetable was or will be released. The policy is "When it's ready"
But they are working on it ! -
When Vivaldi window is maximised, I cannot creat a new windows by dragging a tab. Running Windows 10
-
Keyboard shortcuts are still incorrect. OSX 10.11.6, german layout.
Had to change the affected shortcuts and wrong keys show up, but different ones than before. Namely but not limited to the keys "ΓΌ" and "+". "-" seems to be correct now. -
I don't see it mentioned above for some reason, but the long-ago-reported single-key shortcut issue appears fixed. I don't recall anyone from Vivaldi commenting on the problem in the first place, so I guess that's appropriate.
-
I have problems with this version, the default zoom interfaces, and websites. If you start the browser, and then open the page, the page, I get the approach 100% if you open the same or another page again will zoom to 120%, as it is in the settings. When you close and re-open your browser, the problem returns. Still running until the second page is displayed according to your desired settings.
Win 7 x64, Viv x64
-
I could move the tab between another windows by dragging the tab! But Vivaldi crashed! I use Vivaldi 1.5.618.8 on macOS Sierra 10.12.
-
A change has been done on the shortcuts. They display wrongly, indeed, but now, they work. It will probably display with the name the qwerty layout has for them.
-
Lol, indeed, there was an issue with shortcuts, especially on other layout than qwerty. A change has been done, and it fixes a lot. Wrong keys might appear in the shortcuts settings though, but it works anyway
-
Very nice snapshot! Thanks!
-
Hey guys tab dragging feature is fckn awesome! Thanks for this, I've been waiting for it for a while!
Now for those bug reports, I can't really use Vivaldi as my main browser without getting my pet bug fixed, so with the risk of sounding annoying here it goes againVB-14756 (or VB-7762 I'm told is the original) - Certain downloads never prompt for a save location.
Also nice to fix VB-19561 Right-clicking in an unfocused address bar should automatically select the whole text (for immediate copying, pasting, or replacing) just like left-click currently already does.
Thanks for the awesome browser!!
-
Yup, same in Windows 7 64Bits
Could not recreate it reliably but dragging a tab back into an existing window makes it disappear some times. It doesn't seem to get closed as some times it pops back up randomly -
That would be cool indeed
-
Nice! What would be even nicer: to be able to drag a tab out of the tab bar to create a new window with it. Now if you have a fullscreen window and you drag a tab this way, it stays in the same window.
-
Good, but the old Opera's Windows panel is still unbeatable for managing tabs and windows β¦ hope to see it in Vivaldi too someday
-
holw shit! drag to create new window is finally here! props
-
Indeed, would be a great feature !
Filed VB-21837 for it to be dealt with -
Yes, they display wrongly but work. But that's not something new, they worked in the snapshot before too. No change there.
-
It's partially fixed for me.. '-' is now mapped correctly, but '+' isn't (it's mapped to '=' now, was ']' in the last snapshot :D). I'm on german layout too.
Debian 8, x64
German qwertz layout
