Snapshot 1.0.380.2 - Bug fixes and new Settings
-
I'm not sure if this was an intended feature or not but Vivaldi used to automatically load a page when I typed its bookmark nickname in the quick commands bar. Either way I found it to be a useful functionality. If it was a bug I suggest you restore it as an optional feature.
-
indeed.
W8.1 x64 with this x32 build(also if you close and then re-open a stacked tab it will not get back into the stackā¦)
-
I don't understand page themeā¦
- www.deviantart.com, mostly green but page theme is red.
- www.vorterix.com, mostly black but page theme is red.
I suppose this is because favicon has transparency (or white) color.

Not a complaint, but I'd really like to see more love being given to the email client in Vivaldi. The "New" Interface doesn't load up at all and I'd like to be able to manage my email client on my system again (without resorting to the now outdated Opera Mail program). Could you please address this in future snapshots please?
-
I second this
-
On a more positive note, I love the new shade behind active tabs. As a Star Wars fan it looks like a Lightsaber on the side of my tabs, located on the left of my screen ^^
-
-sigh-
Also, its 2016 and it baffles me utterly how APNG isn't natively supported. -
You said you loved options, and I desperately want one of them (courtesy of Opera 12 of courseā¦) When closing a tab -> Activate the last active tab. That is really useful especially when opening new tabs in background. Please!!

(o) Right of current tabshould be
(o) AFTER current tab.

It's used widely to show if the page is served over encryption or not (https).
I doubt it's a smart idea. Mozilla already made the decision to kill it with the very same reason. -
Has 'VB-12237 Text garbling in Quick Commands' removed my favourite feature? Before, when I entered a nickname into quick command it automatically loaded the respective page, but now it does nothing! Please say this is coming backā¦
edit: it seems several other users have noticed the change as well, was it a bug?

Color Area behind Tabs: Although it's functionally better, it's aesthetically worse, imho, than the other option ("Color Active Tab"). It's functionally better because it's a lot easier to tell which tab is active. But, I would prefer the other option if the active tab were more conspicuous even when the active-tab color is similar to the background color of the browser.
I'm using a vertical tab bar and my background is dark.
By the way, thank you for the improvements for Mac!

Honestly, I don't find the regular aesthetic hard to tell which tab is active. It's the only tab that has color! And having it with only one tab with color kind of makes it resemble a folder of some sort. But I agree with you, aesthetically, it's a lot worse. I just tried it out and it didn't look as good as it did in the photo above. And when you have your tabs at the bottom like I do, it looks even worse because the top has no color.

but at least give us the options to using the native UI like browser do. btw CSS can tricks using the native as UI even not in full version. I want just the UI browser matching the OS skin or theme. or if support the live wallpaper it will be great also like current Opera dev does ok.
-
I thirds on thisā¦. i will totally support this proposal 200%....
-
also have the open with this when doneā¦ and please make a filechooser buttons on settings k...

Usually, but not always. Vivaldi sometimes chooses a color which is too similar to the backgroundā-which is why I posted my comment above, in the first place. I want Vivaldi to always choose a tab color which is significantly different from the background color.

Compared to older versions of opera features or too little.
TAB option is really too small.
-
i hope true homepage in setting will arrive sooner than later. it is truely a bugs. when you open the browser, you can clearly see the homepage to open the first tab, but instead open it in the new tab.

cmd+0 is already do the same. Just need to remember.
