Chromium bump to 126 – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 3371.4
-
@EricJH Thanks
Compact layout seems to be OK after restarting.
The crash now occurs without doing anything. Vivaldi Snapshot will start up OK, then crashes after a few seconds.
Using Vivaldi 6.7.3329.39 Stable to reply.
I will try reinstalling the Snapshot.
I restored a backup from last month, and updated the Snapshot and my backup.
I won’t try clearing browsing data just yet, in case it messes up my profile again. -

Any shortcut switch maybe?

but was dialogs not rounded independent of the setting?
This is a dialogue of Vivaldi, not Chromium.
-
@Capushon
Hm, it was not clear which dialogues are meant and the Clear Browsing dialogue is not rounded, for example.
I am a bit confused. -
The sync server encountered a problem. Restart Initialization Vivaldi Snapshot

I'm talking about him. Dialogues that can be influenced using CSS are NOT chromium, but Vivaldi.

Hi,
Just noticed that HW/A is not working.
Tested on a Clean Profile + 2 working Profiles.One of the default Profiles has been cloned from Snap and ran it on Stable, there HW/A is ON.
So same Flags / Switches.
I've tested toggling GPU Flags, HW/A
Always appears OFFW11 23H2 | I5 2Gen | nVidia 520M
Anyone else?
Thx
-
@Zalex108
Hi, the GPU is from 2011 so I guess Chromium 126 kicked it but it should not influence the setting in Vivaldi.
Is vivaldi://flags/#ignore-gpu-blocklist enabled? -

Yes,
That Flag is always ON since ever.HW/A is enabled as a Police.
Tested removing it and marking it from the V and Ch settings, same results. -

Thx,
I'm looking more, this has a dual GPU, I've assigned the integrated HD3000 and that way HW/A appears enabled.I'm trying to find out another Driver.
At least, the HD3000 is better than nothing.
Thx

@Zalex108 I am seeing some upstream changes in one file, at least, related to H264 hardware acceleration on Nvidia GPUs using drivers older than 31.0.15.3623 on Win 10. Don't know if it is related to your issue

It was on a 2016 driver, now upgraded to 2018 391.xx
I'll check whether there's any difference.
At the moment, Task Manager stopped showing the Nvidia Graphics.I'll see tomorrow restarting or with GPU-Z.
Thx
-
@Zalex108 HWA works for me with NVidia GT 710 Win 11 23H2
-
Thx,
7xx is few years newer, good it works fine.@mib2berlin @yngve
Actually, I will need to remove/reinstall the Driver completely.I've restored the previous one, 21.xx and the Task Manager Graph came back.
On the other side, the GPU info showed HW/A enabled but the nVidia was not showing any load, nor GPU-Z.Had a shortcut to vivaldi.exe renamed as chrome.exe and that one showed the HW/A not enabled, but, even with that, then, the GPU graph showed the nVidia working.
So,
I will need to clean up the GPU install.
I'll report later.Thx

No Global Permissions section available in Settings dialogue.
Just "Reset Global Permissions" button.Clicking on that "Reset Global Permissions" button causes an immediate crash.
Tested in standalone fresh local install - same result.
