Finally, I was able to reproduce this bug - using German translation
Great job!
Thus, as I said, it's a design issue. Will inform colleagues.
What can they do, the width of the input fields is not set in the Vivaldi interface, but in the Chromium files, and the command doesn’t seem to make any changes there?
If you shorten the name of the second button, there will be no problem.

I could not reproduce it because i never got such update password popup in English and German UI.
But, good, Shapnkov found it.//EDIT:

This needs more testing for all languages we have in UI.

Yes, a rare bug, if you always use saved passwords with auto-login, you may never see this error.
-
@Capushon A good point! Other settings and usage, other issues.
Thanks for telling us. -

The second button should not be longer than the input fields (the name stretches it). And the window closing cross also serves as a guide.
It is easier and faster to change texts than to make changes to the window code. (imho)

@Capushon You see a window closing button (the X)!? Me not, on Windows 11.
UI design is broken on this popup. -

In Windows 10 there is a close button, in all Chromiums. You can see it above in my picture.

The problem is more complex than it seems.
First: it's a dialog design bug. And the most correct way to fix it - change the dialog code.
Second: it's a Chromium dialog. Thus, the right way - Chromium developers should fix it. Thus, will be much better to send bug-report to Chromium team (and better you will do this - user's report can have more attention than competitor's report).
Third: if our developers will fix it on the our side - we will be forced to fix the same regression every stable Vivaldi version until Chromium developers will fix it.
Forth: Your suggestion - change the translation. But these strings are not from Vivaldi - it's also Chromium strings, we do not translate it. And replacing original string for our own translation is the same as changing the dialog code - every Chromium version update will have a regression that we will need to fix every stable version.
Thus, the most correct way - fix it on the Chromium side.
So, please, send bug-report to Chromium - it's the most correct step in the current situation.
-
@Capushon Please report that Chromium issue with translation files and broken password save popup at https://issues.chromium.org/new and report back here the link of your report, so Vivaldi can add to bug tracker until Chromium upstream fixed it.

I tried it, Google requires me to indicate my phone number, but I don’t give it to it, there’s no other way
Here is a picture from Chromium 127.0.6482.0 where this error is visible, maybe someone will be able to send it there.

@Capushon
Hi, if you use Android they have it already.
I try to search for "change password popup broken" and get 208 pages result.
Any idea for a better search term? I bet this is reported already. -

No, a phone without Google services with custom, thoroughly redesigned firmware at the code level and discarded spies/beacons/identifiers, etc.

Once again write to them with a picture, such a bug might not have been noticed, apparently it is not available in all languages.

@Capushon
I don't report other users bugs, I try to find an existing bug. -
Hi, still stays on Vivaldi 5.8, version 6.X is not usable. Problems:
-
when I start Vivialdi, it takes about 1 minute to load favorites toolbar & left panel.
-
crashing on every second page or sometimes when I start Vivaldi - when I start Vivaldi or activate another tab, this tabs often load high CPU and I need to kill vivaldi.exe process and reload again.
This does not happen on Vivaldi 5.8, so 6.X is still buggy and unusable I tried 6.X because some pages is able to kill 5.8, but I have much more problems with 6.X. Please, fix it. Thank you guys.

@izero Please check Troubleshooting issues.
And downgrading to older versions is not advised as it causes strange unfixable issues with your browser profile.
-
@izero To add to what @DoctorG suggested, if you want those issues fixed, you should file descriptive bugs about the problems, and crashdumps for the crash issues.
I found no bugs filed by you about those issues you mention, and the only one filed with your email address was for an issue that was also present in Google Chrome, so it have to be fixed by them.
I'll also note that you should run your tests in clean, standalone installs, If that environment works, then you can start gradually introducing other changes you have made to your main environment, so that you can figure out which broke the browser.
