How to permantly get rid of Yelp, Quant, You

I have now had these unwanted search engines return to my client even though I did not update it.
I have stopped updating Vivaldi months ago but I noticed the quant, yelp and you stuff just returned to my search engine list somewhere in the last couple of weeks.
I did install and remove some extensions in the meantime. Is it possible this results in the ads being brought back?
