@gregor: Hi Can you provide a crashlog for this. You will find the latest .dmp file in a subdirectory of your User Data directory, called Crashpad\reports

      "%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Crashpad\reports"

Look for a crash log that was created around the time you witnessed the crash—sort by “Date”. Could you attach this on a bug report for us https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/ and give me the number of the bug that was created.

@mib2berlin: Not enough to state that. I would need a crashlog to be certain. I would still like one from @musiccow

🪲Seems extension popups are handled completely different in Vivaldi 6.6/6.7 compared to Chrome/Edge/Chromium 124.
All Vivaldi versions can not trigger a download.

I was hinted by a user to this issue and had already reported:
VB-105791 "Extension does not save as download" - Confirmed

@Ruarí What private data is included in dmp files?

Hm, is the Vivaldi ad blocker active?
uBlock is working fine to comment but the Vivaldi ad blocker is not.
                    We had some reports about.
I have Prime Light but I never comment on YT so I cant test this. 😕

EDIT: I comment on a 12 Year old video with the Vivaldi ad blocker enabled and this work.

Please test this in a the guest view, this except extensions and use the default settings.

6.7.3329.9 will immediately crash to desktop whenever I try to use Microsoft Chinese Pinyin IME or Microsoft Japanese IME on Windows 11. Crash will happen regardless of whether I type in any webpage or in address bar or search bar. As soon as I enable IME via Win+Space and type anywhere Vivaldi will crash. I'm typing this in Firefox rn cuz Vivaldi won't stop crashing for me. Please fix this ASAP orz

Have just submitted VB-105827 and attached crash dumps - 24 of them bc vivaldi crashed 24 times in the last 24 hrs.
@ruarí i'm guessing this is related to the NVDA screenreader crash fix VB-101331? please really fix this ASAP

@Tsumikiria We already have a build locally with the NVDA fix removed for the time being. You will likely get it today assuming no issues with other fixes also included are found.

@Gregor Potentially a bunch of things as there is memory information in there. This Google Chrome page is also true for us as all of the code related to creating the crash dump is inheritted from upstream

@Ruarí Thank you. will gladly be your guinea pig again later when i have time and report any issues.

For context, Microsoft's IME & Touch Keyboard manager in Windows 10 and 11 - TabTip.exe - was known to cause issues in video games such as causing Skyrim and Fallout to crash every 15 minutes. Is this related to the Vivaldi crashes this time?
