When comes Split View to Vivaldi?
-
Hey people when do you bring for the Apple users "Split View" - clicking and hold the green button and then have two windows in the field of view, for example word and the Vivaldi Browser.
Thanks!
-
@supersonicsongbird Vivaldi offers Tab Tiling. The Split Screen View is a function of macOS, a variant of its Full Screen View...

I know Microsoft Edge offers this feature already, I'd love to see something similar baked into Vivaldi.
-
@SushiComb0 Edge doesn't "offer" this. macOS does...
-
It certainly does! I've used Edge on Macos and the option is baked into the browser.
-
@SushiComb0 Compare:
Edge
Vivaldi
Both appear from a long-press of the green "traffic light" button... (It's a Mac thing!
)
p.s.,
I'm sure Windows offers similar functionality. -
@OakdaleFTL When you hover the selector icon in Vivaldi in Windows (as well as most other apps) you get the option to slide your cursor to whichever of these tile sizes and positions you want Vivaldi to occupy.
(It's a Windows thing)
-
In Edge.
-
@Ayespy ...I assume you mean Edge, on a Windows machine!
(I get such options from an app called Rectangle Pro. It doesn't bother me, that the Mac version I use doesn't offer such natively. Or that Windows and Mac OS differ!
)
Again, I say it's an OS function... Am I wrong?
-
@OakdaleFTL Seems right to me!
-
@OakdaleFTL While that is the native mac way , I was mentioning the functionality that Edge provides within the application itself.
If you select this option, it "splits" the browser in two so you can browse two sites in the same view.

@SushiComb0 How is that any different from this exactly?
