-
@Pathduck Ha! You save my poor webworker's soul.
Thanks a lot, dear forum colleague. That CSS mod is nice and it works.
After adding a variable space to status bar all is like before but with good sized tooltip. -

Some nice changes by me, for those who are interested
//EDIT 2024-03-28:.toolbar .StatusInfo { background: var(--colorBgFaded); /* --colorBgFaded is darker, better contrast. */ border-radius: var(--radius); position: absolute; max-width: 99%; bottom: 30px; left: 34px; /* tooltip should not cover panel bar */ padding: 5px 0; pointer-events: none; /* do not catch events */ }

@Pathduck The dragon is so thankful. or that is thy question.

@DoctorG Thanks - I've already had some of that

Unfortunately when i use mod for longer URL tooltip and want to view page source with Ctrl+U, the horizontal scrollhandle fails to be dragged by mouse.
Weird. -

@DoctorG, since I use this extensions, I see very rare too long URLs. Most of these are so long because of unneeded tracking strings. This extensions cut these strings, leaving only the necessary URL Most people use trackerblocker, because of this, websites use this crap for tracking.
Clearurls
URL Tracking StripperSomewhat disattended, but still works. I will search alternatives.

OK, i fixed it by change for .toolbar .StatusInfo the bottom position:
bottom: 45px; /* add something if Scrollbar is visible */

-
I use bottom: 35px so that the status info does not cover the selectors in dev tools:

The CSS has a nasty issue: if covering a link/button i often can not hover/click on this after the tooltip was hidden.
I already asked internally.//EDIT: Adding to class .StatusInfo will help:
pointer-events: none; /* do not catch events */
