I am primarily using AI to summarize and explain something I would like to know about. It would be useful if Vivaldi could do this.

@earthginger, there are dozends of different AI out there for any type of tasks, you need one for summarize and explain, other need an AI for edit textes or to make music, edit images, videos, etc. all these with a very different quality which may serve to some users and not for others. So, apart of other reasons, it don't make sense to inbuild an stock AI in Vivaldi to follow the hype to inbuild an AI in everything, Its way more logical that the user search one of the AI which fits the best his needs and tasks.
Eg. I use as main search Andi since more than 2 years, which is the best for me (it outscored in an independent test ChatGPT, You, Perplexity and others). It also can summarize and explain in a very reliable way, apart with 100% privacy. Try it

or take a look here and use one of the over 7000 existing different AI tools.

I am using Brave Search as my default search engine

Ditto. I've generally found it to be good and accurate, especially just for summarisation, and you can follow the links if required.

Strangely, I don't find it so good when used as standalone though, just when integrated with search.

You could just add Brave Search as a shortcut and temporarily invoke it to do summaries.

@Catweazle btw, do you know what's happened to Phind? Whenever I try it, from any browser, logged in or not, I just keep getting "inference service is unavailable." So I've given up on it now. It used to be one of my top go-to chats. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Not sure what you mean. By "it" do you mean Brave?

Leo, e.g., if I just use Leo directly within the Brave browser. Though admittedly I only tried it in once or twice.

Got it. I never use Leo in the sidebar; I use Leo in the main Brave Search page. If Leo does not answer upfront you can click the little star to get an answer.

I am using Leo more and more; I find it particularly useful for things like CSS, Linux command line commands, and more. It saves a lot of time. It also allows me to bypass forums, like e.g. for EndeavourOS, more often and gives me confidence I can fix a lot on my own. Heck, I even feel I could install and run Arch if I wanted/needed to.

Sure, sometimes the answer is bunk or does not have the result needed, but overall I am positive towards it.

Having said that, 1 such bot I find even better is Perplexity. Its answers are more complete.
