YouTube Full Screen Video playing mostly off screen
-
Hi,
When I full screen a YouTube Video most of the video is off screen on the bottom left. Had the issue for at least a couple of weeks.

Hi, this happen if you change the Android font size and/or use accessibility setting for installed/downloaded apps.
There is a flag to fix the font issue, I have to search for it a bit.Cheers, mib

I'm glad it's not just happening to me! The font thing makes sense as I have mine set to 102%, which roughly matches the font size of Firefox for Android (which I much prefer over the tiny Chromium/Blink-based browser default size). I haven't tried this with the default font setting, but I'm going to assume it would fix it based on what you've said @mib2berlin.

This is still an issue.
My Font and Display Size are default for the Pixel 8 Pro.
I do have accessibility enabled on a Password Manager app, to help auto-fill fields.

@dpn
Hi, I meant the Android font size and display resolution not the setting in Vivaldi.
If I have accessibility enabled for a test, I need to set a flag in Vivaldi to disabled:chrome://flags/#enable-accessibility-page-zoom
-
This is still an issue. I have to enter and exit full screen at least twice sometimes more or refresh the page before the full video shows in full screen properly.
-
@dpn
Hi, did you set the flag I mentioned?
Open:chrome://flags/#enable-accessibility-page-zoom
And set it to enabled. -
@mib2berlin I have not, because by doing this I then can't zoom in on pages and images right ?
-
@dpn
Hm no, just checked I can zoom.
Anyway, it is just for testing, Vivaldi and accessibility doesn't work for some users.
I cant test external password manager but I am not aware you need this setting to get one to work. -
I have this frustrating issue. Not always happens, but it happens.
And I also had to exit full screen several times until I found out that by rotating the phone 180, the video would go full screen.
Hope it helps you.

Since the update to 7.2, this issue has become more acute. Never went away, but is once again happening more often than not.
