🎥Bypass YouTube advertising🎥

There is a very good way to avoid adverts on YouTube (PC).
Simply use this extension:
Ad Speedup - Skip Video Ads Faster

Details can be found here (use a translator if necessary):

I recommend FreeTube for Desktop - no ads at all.
https://freetubeapp.ioFreeTube is a YouTube client for Windows, Mac, and Linux built around using YouTube more privately. You can enjoy your favorite content and creators without your habits being tracked. All of your user data is stored locally and never sent or published to the internet. FreeTube grabs data by scraping the information it needs (with either local methods or by optionally utilizing the Invidious API). With many features similar to YouTube, FreeTube has become one of the best methods to watch YouTube privately on desktop.
And there is NewPipe for Android:
https://newpipe.netNewPipe has been created with the purpose of getting the original YouTube experience on your smartphone without annoying ads and questionable permissions.

@tob1as
I was just about to write the same thing.NewPipe' is also available from 'F-Droid'.
-
@ingolftopf
NewPipe also has an own F-Droid repository allowing faster updates, esp. when there are changes at YouTube. -
@tob1as, I use FreeTube and set the SMplayer as extern player in the case that FreeTube has problems to reproduce the Video which ocurres sometimes in blocked Videos, in this cases you can open it in the SMplayer instead with a click. SMplayer and FreeTube is the perfect combo.
The MotionBox Video Browser is also a good alternative for almost all streaming platforms, the drawback is a horrible and not very intuitive UI

@tob1as
I already have it.But thank you very much for this very valuable tip.

@Catweazle
Thank you also for this very good tip. -
The SMplayer is an allround solution of YT, also when the iFrame script cause that YT block a Video, because the author has blocked the Video outside YT, which the iFrame script really do (overlayed on the YT page), than is very usefull to have the SMplayer at hand (in the taskbar), the YT link which you copy is transferred direct to the SMplayer, only need to open, select the Url input and Enter.
