Moving away from ESR would be an awfully, horribly bad decision. Many serious users cannot bear the rapid changes every month.
@ybjrepnfr lol @ the twisted logic, Floorp gets monthly (or even more frequent) updates
(btw 11.14 was released some hours ago
)

yes, ta, i have it too now. gotta say, even though based on recent dev posts in their blog, & on reddit, i do understand the importance of this release as a stepping-stone in the big change-in-progress journey, it is nonetheless an entirely boring update wrt the user-facing changes, of which there's... none. ha! maybe next time...

breathtakingly useless "help":

Re-Full-Open-SourcedFloorp was not originally closed source software, but today it is back to being a fully open source project.
Feel free to use the source code!
I recently returned to the open source project because I enjoy university life and longed for the TRON's software model created by the founder of the department, Professor Ken Sakamura.
I believe that search engines are factor in monetising browsers, so I will fight for that part of the market from now on.

lately, i've been doing much mucking about with
floorp beta
, akafloorp daylight
, https://github.com/Floorp-Projects/Floorp/releases/tag/beta"Floorp Daylight": v11.17.0 (Firefox v128.1.0)
This is NOT the release (stable) channel version of Floorp. This is a beta build of Floorp. It is intended for testing purposes only. It is not recommended that you use this version of Floorp for daily browsing. If you would like to download the release version of Floorp, please visit floorp.app.
which is quite nice, fixes some lingering bugs in the current stable version 11.16.0 (Firefox v115), albeit unfortunately being beta introduces some new bugs.
however, a few days ago i became completely distracted by another wonderful new fork that's already, despite being only in alpha state, showing lots of promise...
Zen
... https://www.zen-browser.app/. it's already very aesthetically pleasing, & has some cool functionality, with this exciting "coming event" of note:https://github.com/zen-browser/desktop
Zen is currently built using firefox version 129.0!
both these browsers, & their development pace, are exciting me like no other browser did since 2015...
️
...& the additional benefit ofc is their full mv2
uBO
compatibility -
@ybjrepnfr Ran Zen almost exclusively for a week in a disk-full crumbling Windows 10 installation. It was 'Not Responding' for fun while Vivaldi was just chill not responding only once or twice. FF Nightly couldn't even load About:NewTab at all!!! Something is certainly wrong with Gecko-based browsers.
Zen is beautiful and the hope for the rise of Gecko-based browsers especially as we are on the verge of a new browser war. -
@Kjala happily for me i use linux not windoze, so all my browsers run very sweetly, certainly including nightly, floorp, zen & vivaldi.

@ybjrepnfr Well, I'm looking forward to dualbooting.
