Unsolved Speed-Dial - blank thumbnails and not working bookmarks and folders

Hi, I guess this is a different issue, blank thumbnails and missing thumbnails.
The blank thumbnails appear when you leave a speed dial folder and back the missing thumbnails not.
This are the blank ones:

I don't have any blank thumbnails since Vivaldi 6.5.

bookmark thumbnail is sometimes lost
is not fixed, the developer work on it.

I disabled bookmarks in sync and reloaded thumbnails stay then, if I enable bookmarks some are wiped after some time.

This problem appeared after Vivaldi developers moved images, some of which were previously stored inside Bookmarks in base64 format -> to the VivaldiThumbnails folder.

That sounds very likely but I don't understand why sync wipe them on other devices, thumbnails are not synced.
But maybe that has nothing to do with it, I hope the developer can fix this soon.

@mib2berlin that is how my screen looked until I upgrades to 6.5. them most thumbnails has pictures again, some had a writen discription in the thumbnail instead of a picture.If I click on the TN then it would be updated. I'll quit complaining for while.

Synchronization has nothing to do with it, I always have it turned off, and the pictures disappear!

I had to roll back to version: 6.3.3134.3, everything is fine there - and the pictures do not disappear and the RSS is updated and the browser does not crash in private tabs.

Hm, I can watch in realtime how they disappear if I enable sync but this was just guessing.
I hope you don't roll back over the existing 6.5 profile, this leads to a broken profile.

If you roll back correctly, everything will be fine.

What do you meant with correctly, you step back 4 Chromium versions, different session and workspace management, different folder structure.
The only way to do this is wipe all you user data, install old version, update later.
All work fine until you get issues, we had this hundreds of times since Vivaldi 1.0.

I simply have no choice, I cannot stay on broken releases.
v6.3.3134.3 - has the same Session Manager as in 6.5.

The first abnormal behavior I found is here:

The main problem I encountered then was storing bookmarks not in the speed dial but in another, unexpected, folder in Bookmarks.

Later, I found https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/88816/speed-dial-reordering-issue?_=1703508092285 which I think is related to the first.

It may be a misuse of the bookmarks storage which takes revenge now!

I'm still experiencing this bug everyday multiple times per day usually when I first open a new tab with speed dials, then I do the tab switching workaround and it doesn't happen anymore in the previous tab. Still, as I previously stated at least it's not happening all the time anymore.

@MattVirginia The fix was to use a Vivaldi Snapshot which was released three weeks ago. https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/717865

If the issue still exists in Snapshot 6.5.3222.3, then the "Solved" is not valid anymore.

Oh sorry, I missed that it was fixed on a different version. I am on 6.5.3206.48 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit). I will try and test it later today. Thanks so much Dr.G

That is problem of some users who do not study the thread But that's life. such happens.

I'm on 6.5.3206.48 stable as well. I won't test anything yet though, I'll patiently wait for my distro to release updates as they become available.
