Unsolved Speed-Dial - blank thumbnails and not working bookmarks and folders

I also have this problem. Moving the tiles around fixes the problem, briefly. Removed all my extensions but still the same. I'm on Zorin OS 16.3

Hi, there are only workarounds at moment, the developer investigate at moment.
Such happen random for random user bugs are hard to catch.Cheers, mib

I do like Vivald but browsers should never be in the way of doing work.
-
Marked solved? Where solved? spell it out for me

A solution can always to be found on page #1 if thread is marked as Solved. -
The fact that there are still no serious solutions to this problem (the solutions proposed so far, even if they can work, cannot be considered serious) shows that Vivaldi is still not a browser that can be trusted for everyday work . I like it and continue to use it. But everything must be said: since I've been using it as my main browser I've had to solve a few problems, either due to incompatibilities with I don't know which drivers or, right now, the problem we're talking about in this thread. Anyway, one day it will no doubt become a great browser... but for now it's still immature. Pity!

A solution can always to be found on page #1 if thread is marked as Solved.I find it very unprofessional and very unserious that they mark this thread as solved. The indicated solutions are not. I have been applying them since they were quoted and the problem continues to appear, it has not been resolved at all. Resolved, to me, means it no longer occurs. It is not the case!

@nawigator
Hi, what do you meant with "They"?
Only the OP can do this or a moderator, this is a user forum.
I had a hard time to reproduce this constantly and then I could confirm it in the internal bug tracker.
I have this issue maybe 3-4 times a week, other user have it much more often.
Bug reported > confirmed > investigated > fixed > tested > published > user happy.
We are at 3.Cheers, mib

For me, personally, I'm now seeing this issue with Ubuntu LTS 22.04, 23.04, and 23.10. Also on Fedora 38. Both stable and snapshot Vivaldi releases.
This should not have been marked as "Solved". It's not solved. On page 1, the "fixes" are band-aids.
-
This is what the problem looks like (Win10):
-
@mib3berlin But the problem is not fixed and therefore the user is not happy. A very different thing is that the problem is not so serious as to leave Vivaldi. I suffer from it several times a day, randomly, still. I guess if this is an official Vivaldi forum it should only be marked as solved when the program's code maintainers investigate and make the problem go away, right? The rest are temporary solutions, mere attempts, respectable, and sometimes successful. But not solutions.
-
@nawigator
Maybe we hit a language barrier here, only the creator of the thread can mark it as solved.
If I have an issue with Vivaldi open a thread and other user tell me, do this, and my issue is solved I can mark my thread as solved.
The Vivaldi team create this user forum, moderated from user.
For you and many other user it is a serious bug, for me not at all
Anyway, this bug becomes fixed. -
@mib3berlin Maybe you're right if you think about it in terms of who started a thread... but the problem still persists because it affects so many more people. So it is not resolved. Another thing is that you consider yourself satisfied because it no longer affects you - in your case - or because it seems secondary to you - fortunately it is -.
-
@nawigator
The bug is not resolved, I really hope that this will be fixed quickly even if it doesn't bother me much.Cheers, mib

Someone else did it, but I don't know who.... -
@ilprof
Ah OK, I will flag your post for a moderator, it should not possible for other user to do this. -
