@nomadic What I found wrong was that the stable version was updated faster than the snapshot version. regarding this bug CVE-2023-4863.
How can this be?
it should be first in the Snapshot version and then in the stable version of the vivaldi browser. -

Most users have a Vivaldi Stable, that is why often gets a security fix first; Snapshots as (Beta)Testing versions and less important for majority.

@DoctorG I now understand!
But did it take 2 days to put it in the snapshot?
You didn't think it took too long, I'll speak for myself, I only use the Vivaldi Snapshot browser on my computer. I don't use any other browser. take very serious risks. -
@carlinhosnewstyle fwiw, i feel exactly the same about this as you do, but it's always been this way, unfortunately.
-
@carlinhosnewstyle the devs always try to get for both channels a secure version. I guess it depends on what was done faster.

You bark up the wrong tree.
I am not responsible for delays.

As @iAN-CooG said:

It would be good if the security specialists of the forum would clarify that the paranoia of believing that for two days "without protection" then you will be attacked for sure, is ridiculous.

@barbudo2005 exactly, and always remember that for 1 known security hole you know, there are thousands of untold or kept secret ones, not counting those undiscovered yet.
