Hebrew months display format instead of Gregorian
-
Hi all,
I'm trying to find how to set up a calendar that displays the months as Av, Elul, Tishrei, etc (the Hebrew/Jewish months) foremost. I'd love for this to be inside Vivaldi's calendar sidebar, but I suspect that would need feature support.
Everything I'm finding displays the Gregorian calendar months (January, February, March, etc) as foremost, and adds anything else as smaller subheadings or secondary.
Ideally this calendar would be able to manage and sync with Google Calendar events and invitations. Suboptimally, if I had to open the Gregorian GCal in a contained workspace for editing, I'd like to at least be able to view all of its synchronized contents in my Hebrew format calendar. So a meeting on September 14, 2023 would show up on Elul 28, 5783 and have all of its descriptions and links. It's fine if it also shows "September 14, 2023" as long as that isn't the biggest date displayed.
Having looked at GitHub, HebCal, Chrome extensions, and native GCal settings, it looks like I'd need to build a shell in the Hebrew calendar format, then work with APIs to sync and manage GCal, possibly hosting this shell on a local website. Is that accurate? My partner does code and is considering it as a project, but we can't believe no one else has done this yet. Maybe it exists in Hebrew script? I'm still a novice.
Advice very much welcome, including from any other non-Gregorian calendar users! Unfortunately I get a lot of GCal events used to communicate key work details so I can't leave it completely. I'm on Windows for my desktop and laptop, and have an iPad and iPhone.

Hi @cadostie
Currently Vivaldi calendar client only supports Gregorian calendars and no other option is available. We'd really like to add support for more calendar types but that is a big undertaking and we have very limited resources. In time when we have better polished what we have and fixed known problems we will for sure consider starting to work on other calendar formats. Unfortunately it will most likely not be very soon.
Thank you for your interest in Vivaldi calendar, it is essential for our motivation to hear from users wanting to use our software.
