Requesting for a feature to read "mht" and "mhtml" files with Vivaldi in-built document reader like edge browser has and IE used to?
Today there is no software to read these 2 formats. And once IE discontinuation, it is impossible.
I have tons of mht and mhtml files and there is no credible software to read them without any hassles unlike pdf or epub.
For anybody wanting to know what these formats are,
These formats come from webpages saved offline esp., in mobile through any chromium browsers.

Unfortunately, with IE dying, edge browser doesnt support these 2 formats and vivaldi can finally.

@LoneRanger12 I have some old *.mht files that I saved before the old Opera Forum closed down.
They open fine in Vivaldi. A bug that I reported was fixed by the updated to Chromium 116.
VB-97564 MHT Files no longer open in Vivaldi
I also found some *.mhtml files, which also load fine in Vivaldi.

@Pesala Honestly, it does open but only selected. Few days ago, I was talking on same topic in your telegram group and someone helped me in detail. Since that day, I tried with several of my saved mht and mhtml files (I have over 50 gb since 2015, in several sub folders, now saved on windows disk), and some opened, and some didnt. I was hoping to strike homerun when few opened up but didnt when others failed to. Also, I tried IE (when keeping net disconnected) and those same failed mht and mhtml files opened up in it. But if I connect to net and try to open in IE, it redirects me to edge browser. I have some saved mht and mthml files which you can check from your end. Do you want them for analysis? Also, request for in-built reader for mht and mhtml isnt just for windows or desktop but also for android or mobile, the latter of which also allows for download if one tries to save webpage offline or download webpage for offline viewing in storage.

@LoneRanger12 Please see How to Report a Bug.

@LoneRanger12 would be useful to attach to the report some of these files which are not opened (perhaps are from an IE only site?)

@LoneRanger12 MAFF is a legacy Mozilla-only file format.
MHTML (Multipart Archives) show nice it Vivaldi.
