Can't see all devices (tab lists) when on iPadOS
-
Hello, everyone.
I am testing Vivaldi on iPad Mini 6 and I am logged into Vivaldi Sync. I use Vivaldi on several devices - desktop and in a few virtual machines. When trying to access the list of tabs from my desktop instance of Vivaldi on iPad I see only 1 device (a virtual machine) but I don't see my desktop. What can I do about this?
I looked for a way to log out of Sync and re-login on iPad but did not find one.
Thanks

@Ascar
Hi, I am not sure if it is possible on iOS but on all other platforms open vivaldi://sync-internals and hit the button Trigger GetUdates update the device list.
You have to do this on both devices.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin Thanks for suggesting. It did not work on iPad. The string entered into the address bar is handled as a search string, so I get Bing results. I could trigger the updates on the desktop, but this was a one-way update. I may try to remove Vivaldi from the iPad, however I don't know whether I will be able to easily re-install.

You can log out from the account in Settings > Sync. For good measure you can also exit the browser and then start it from fresh, log in and check synced tabs again.

@Ascar
Restart the device should update the sync system 100%.
Maybe it is not correctly working on iOS at moment. -
@Ascar Try
chrome://sync-internals
instead. Usingvivaldi:
currently doesn’t work on iOS. -
@AltCode Thanks for the suggestion. chrome://sync-internals worked, i.e. the page opened. However, the TriggerGetUpdates frame is empty unlike the same frame on desktop. Clicking the button has no effect, just a quick blink and nothing else. The synced devices don't show after the attempted update.
I guess this is something that still may not be working and will get improved over time.

@jane-n Yes, Jane. Logged out. Logged in again. Waiting for some data to start showing up.
Since you are Vivaldi team can you tell me how to get invitations to install the beta on other iPad and iPhone devices I have?

@mib2berlin Restarting did not do anything. Testing with logging out and back in.

@Ascar
As long as you have the TestFlight app on your other iOS devises and you're logged in with the same account, you should see Vivaldi available for download on all your devices. -
Everyone, thank you for guidance. After I logged out and logged back in my Vivaldi on iPad was able to see all other instances of Vivaldi on other devices.

@AltCode it’s ok on IOS! You open me another door!
