Minor update (7) for Vivaldi Desktop Browser 6.1
-
Oh, well
-
thank you for keeping us safe.
-
Thanks for the update! Sorry wrote this on Firefox at the time of writing hehe
-
6th updating
macOS taking time to install, windows hanging installing -
Is it a good guess that the security fix is a backport of one or more of the 26 which coincidentally appeared today?

Guys, please, add the option to delete cache on exit. You can do that in Firefox, Edge, Brave even in Google
freakingChrome you can delete cookies, history, cache and everything you want on exit, but Vivaldi - the most customizable browser ever - is the only major browser that doesn't let you do that. And that's just sad -
@VClassic Create a command chain and assign a shortcut key to it (Ctrl+Q or whatever)
- Delete Browsing Data
- Delay 3000 milliseconds
- Exit
-
@VClassic
Settings > Privacy & Security > Save Browsing History => Session OnlySettings > Privacy & Security > Accept Cookies => Session Only
This corresponds to the "Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows" setting in Chromium.Far as I know neither Chrome, Brave nor Opera give you any setting to clear browser history on exit, only cookies and site data.

@Pathduck
That's not true. In Brave you can set it in options and in Chrome you can set policies. On my machine, for example, Chrome deletes everything on exit - including history and cache. -
@VClassic Its a Vivaldi's internal page which hs such setting; open
chrome://settings/cookies
to set how cookies are removed. -
