ShortCut for Element Inspection Does Not Work
-
the shortcut Command, Shift, C does not work.
however it works perfectly well on Google Chrome
-
@vincej1 The Linux-specific shortcut is shown as shift-CTRL C...
Does that work on your Mint system?
-
@OakdaleFTL HI, I don't know. I haven't tested it on my mint system. I am reporting this on a MacOs ( Ventura) system.
-
@vincej1 what I was thinking was perhaps you could show a screenshot of what the shortcut should invoke...
-
Ok Understood, here is a screenshot. When you are in developer tools, you need to inspect an element. you can do this by either manually clicking the feature, or by using the shortcut, which in MacOS is Command, Shift, C. Here is a screenshot of the icon in dev tools:
So, when this is invoked you can inspect the elements on the page:
Ok - now it turns out that it DOES work, however the shortcut is incredibly sensitive to how you invoke it, ie the sequencing of the key strokes. So, in conclusion, does it need fixing? No. However, I hope this post helps someone else who comes across the same issue.
Many thanks for taking interest! Cheers!!
