Solved test flight beta will download on iphone but not my ipad?
-
vivaldi beta on test flight not working, so i have downloaded the beta ios app with text flight on my iphone and it's working but i just bought a new ipad and when i try to use the same beta tester link for getting it on my ipad there is an error thats say "this beta is currently not accepting any new testers" also its important to note that both my ipad and iphone use the same apple id for test flight.

TestFlight's invite links are only valid for installing the app on one device. Even if you're logged in with the same Apple ID on multiple devices, the app does not get automatically installed on other devices. You'll need a new invitation link for that.
Hope this helps.

Hello @jane-n
I got in on the beta on one of the waves of first public e-mail invites Vivaldi sent out. And once i redeemed the invite Vivaldi became available on both my iPhone and iPad via the TestFlight app. And i still have it installed on both devices, and on both Vivaldi updates and re-installs without issues. And
it continues doing so.
So I'm guessing based on my experience and your response that Vivaldi has as some point started limiting how many devices a user can install Vivaldi on?

@jane-n so is there any way where i can switch the main device to my ipad so it will delete it of my phone and install on my ipad? or is there any way i can find or get a new tester link to install the version on my ipad, because i spend way way way more time using my ipad than my phone. any help would be nice

I also got in on the phone and vivaldi just automatically became available on the ipad.
Both are on the same apple ID and I was already in test flight on both for other apps.
Other test flight apps worked this way too.

So, turns out we were wrong. As @pjol and @Maxburn have said, you can install an app via TestFlight on multiple devices as long as you use the same Apple ID. We haven't changed any settings to prevent that.
@broderickclayburn, can you double check that you are in fact logged in to TestFlight with the same email address on the iPad as on the iPhone.

can confirm that i have access both on an ipad and an iphone simultanously.
