My view on the Workspaces feature

@RasheedHolland You can drag custom command chain buttons to any editable toolbar. I have created a dozen of them.
This is cool, and I should look into this. But again, I believe Vivaldi should do it out of the box. For example, if you now make a new workspace via the dropdown menu, I see you can drag them, but it doesn't allow you to place these buttons on the navigation or statusbar. So the functionality is already there, at least partially. So no need for users to fool around with command chains.

In that case I suggest you go ahead and do that. Cause while I understand your point now, it's highly unlikely that the behaviour will change to what your exact vision is. Best I can see happening is an option to open a bookmarks folder in a new workspace. Maybe that would be worth creating a request for, if there isn't one already.
Well, to my surprise it seems like in the newest Vivaldi 6.5 they have implemented Workspace Rules, which is clearly modeled after my idea. Good to know that developers really read these forum topics. Now they just need to polish it a bit more and also add draggable Workspace buttons.

What needs to be polished, since it seems to me to be well achieved?

Well, I haven't actually checked it out yet, but from what I've seen in the demo video, it's not exactly yet as how I envisioned. See link for more info, where I already described it.

BTW, I now see that a mouse gesture option has been added to Vivaldi 6.5, for switching between workspaces, pretty cool!
