Change default association for magnet links?

Every time I click a magnet link, Stremio opens. I want qBittorrent to open instead. How do I fix this? I cannot find any setting within Stremio or qBittorrent for this, and changing the defaults in my OS using xdg-mime did nothing.

$ xdg-mime default org.qbittorrent.qBittorrent.desktop x-scheme-handler/magnetcheck if ok:
$ xdg-mime query default x-scheme-handler/magnet -
@npro That hasn't worked for me. It claims that qBittorrent is the default, but Stremio is still the only application that opens whenever a magnet link is clicked and I don't see any option to change this default behaviour anywhere.

This is one of those times where you should post which OS and or desktop environment you are using. You may also want to create a thread on qBittorrent's forum.
