After searching for a folder in Bookmarks, how to open a folder

After finding a folder in Bookmarks, how to open a folder.
Found the folder by name, but it does not open after double-clicking, as it is done in normal browsers with normal UX! -
@kirill1996 Click once the folder you want to open all containing bookmarks and hit Return key, or select in folder's context menu what you want to do.

There is no such thing.
If you do a bookmark search and then click on the folder found.
THEN, nothing happens! -
If you also right-click on a folder and there "open in a new tab" the folder... THEN, nothing happens either!
It's been such a hard UX bug for a long time!!!! -
Why won't anyone help me?
Is it really impossible to open a folder if I have found it? -
@kirill1996 tested on 6.1.3035.100 Win 11 22H2; works for me like this:
Open Bookmarks Manager (Ctrl+B) or Bookmarks Panel
Search folder name
in Bookmarks Manager click once on folder you want to open to select it
Hit Return key -
@DoctorG
Hi, this doesn´t work for me, I have a folder News with 4 bookmarks.
Search (Ctrl+B) for News shows to expanded folder but only 1 bookmark, Enter open the bookmark? -
The problem is that the search filter is still active when double clicking on the folder name, so you can only see the bookmarks that have the same search pattern, else the bookmark folder seems empty.
You have to clear the search string to actually see the bookmarks in the expanded folder. By doing that you lose the focus on the found folder because while clearing the search string the bookmark tree gets expanded again.
The found folder is probably highlighted again but you have to scroll down and search it by eye, again.
A real mess, I understand why the confusion. -
@mib2berlin Click on News folder below Schnellwahl and hit Return.
Does not work for you? -
The search UI to open found bookmarks is not userfriendly, my point of view.
-
@DoctorG
Ha no, it open all included bookmarks but I am on Linux at moment. Should not make any difference.
It was only a quick test, I give up on bookmarks ten years ago or so.Cheers, mib

Yes, yes, yes!
If there are a lot of very many folders and subfolders... It's just hell! -
In Waterfox, by the way, everything works fine. If you find a folder, then you can open it!
In Opera, too. -
Hey everyone, I got fed up about Vivaldi bookmarks situation and found these two cool extensions from the same dev (http://mythical5th.com) that make life with complex bookmark folder hierarchies closer to the experience we are imagining.
Check it out:

Hi. I, uh, found a more twisted way out.)

Please make it normal!
The way it's done in Firefox.
Developers, don't ignore the problem -
I have been talking about this problem for a long time.
the search in bookmarks is configured only to search for the bookmarks themselves .
Developers forgot that besides bookmarks there are also folders. They completely ignore them.
I have long created a theme that has a simple speaking name "Freez the found folder". Of course, We are interesting not the folder itself, but interests bookmarks in this folder. And often search in the name of the bookmarks the word "news" is not necessarily present. The filter cuts them off. -
I created 4 and 5 bug-reports about it. When removing the search filter you just need to fix the found folder.
what's complicated already?
Probably 2 years have passed about this, I have been informed directly representatives of developers who are there every day, in the office or remotely. 2 year has already started. it is difficult to fix the found folder, this is some kind of nightmare.
