I've searched for a while but didn't find FR about the matter. What I want is to open current active tab in incognito mode.
I do not want to open links (external or internal) in incognito, it is already implemented.
And I want to switch the tab mode from private to non-private without manually copying the link.
      How to do that?

Having thought about it, for me personally it makes sense that you can't move tabs from normal mode to private or vice versa - temporary files, cookies, etc are likely handled differently in both scenarios (go to different internal folders, for example) and it probably wouldn't be advisable to try to change all that in realtime, with the tab open. Reopening the tab is also not a good solution because you'd loose the session (might logout of an ongoing session, for example).

Currently, probably for that reason, the Move Tab context submenu only lets you move normal tabs to other normal windows or to a new window; and tabs from a private window to other private windows...

and if this is my aim? I want to loose session, the area of application is endless: reopening the post in another Facebook account, reopening the deal with referral, testing the websites and do on. It's users not you would decide whether it us a good solution or not

I'm a user just like you - so you're saying it's my decision but then again it's not?!? 😛

Then you should have said so in your original post. People can't guess what scenarios you have on your mind if you don't describe them properly.

The way you described your problem first (at least, the way I interpreted it from what you wrote) was that you wanted to reopen the tab as it was currently being displayed but on a private window. I simply explained some of the problems I could imagine if someone tried to implement it that way.
If that was not your original intention, then you might consider rewriting the feature request...

But even if someone implements it the way you described on the second message, I sure hope the context menu option is not simply "move to private window" or "open in private window", because I can already imagine the number of people that will complain that it's not working the way they'd like it to 😁

For me, private tab = loosing session, it's by definition. So I didn't bother to describe this explicitly. I see no sense in opening the page in private tab in the same account/session like in normal tab, is it? Give me one example of use of private tab like you describe it

For me too. Which is why I raised the objections I mentioned...
Not everyone will assume that from reading your first post, that's all I pointed out.

I'm not advocating for a different use of Private tabs, so I'm not sure what you mean with

Give me one example of use of private tab like you describe it

@pauloaguia To be honest, I suspect that the users who post requests about Private Windows on this forum are not really using private windows for "privacy" most of the time, but instead for the wiping temporary files, cookies etc. feature, and are completely aware of what will happen. It drives me up the wall every time there are additional "features" added/disallowed in Private Windows for "privacy" that just end up being disabling reasonable functionality from regular windows. (Can someone explain why I am not able to open a New Guest Window from a Private Window, for example?!)
