sync not working (yet)?

first of all great news & already very excited! runs supersmooth over here and i like the extensive ness of it - looks very promising all together. apart from default app not working i also can't access the sync menu - it could access it once (directly after installing vivaldi) but never more. So now when you tap it nothing happens. It would be so good to have vivaldi synced, then i can finally ditch chrome & safari for good.

It does for me too.
You should try to uninstall and reinstall it. It works for a guy on the Vivaldi Telegram channel who had this issue.

@bnckd @bnckd Me, too! I could access the sync setting only once. After the 2nd time, when I tapped this menu, nothing would happen. I became to be not able to access the sync setting.

@bnckd my recent synced, but my bookmarks did not.

@monsieurzik uninstalling and reinstalling yielded the same results, history came over, but no bookmarks.

I'm not able to reproduce the issue with not being accessing Sync settings, either. Could you share some information about the device model and iOS version, so the dev team could investigate?

Are you syncing all data or selected data? If selected, double check that bookmark syncing has been enabled.

Also, there are many bookmark folders. Maybe you just need to go higher up in the bookmark folder tree to find the synced bookmarks.

@jane-n I use Vivaldi for iOS ver.6.1.3018.20 on iOS 16.4.1 of iPhone 12 mini.

Hey! most recent iOS / update and downloaded Vivaldi yesterday..so I assume up to date, also send bug reports yesterday twice. Reinstalled just now and it works now.

@jane-n I apologize. I had a brain fart. Everything is fine. I did not have any bookmarks. I forgot that I launch all my saved sites with my password manager.

Thanks for this beta release. It is awesome, especially being the first release.

I updated Vivaldi and iOS. But this issue keep happen.

I uninstalled Vivaldi for iOS one time. And I installed again. So, I became to be able to access sync setting again. And I can sync.
