Auto-Minimize Side Tab Bar
-
Inspired by Arc Browser and Notion's Sidebar
Note: This mod only works properly if you have the tab bar on the side of the screen, not on the top!
The implementation is really jank, but it works
:root { --collapsed-width: 30px; } .tabbar-wrapper { max-width: var(--collapsed-width); overflow-x: hidden; transition: max-width 200ms ease-in-out; } .tabbar-wrapper:hover { max-width: 100vw; }

Hello. Cool thing. But how to make the slide-out panel not move the pages?
-
@tempale Panels can be set to floating. The Tab Bar cannot, unless there is a way to do that with some code.

Very sorry. That you can’t do that. Firefox has extensions that are apparently a workaround.
But is it possible to make the tab close icon on the left and not cover the site icon with itself?
I use a laptop and touchpad (it is not possible to close the tab by pressing the mouse wheel). If the tab close icon is on the right, then this forces you to make unnecessary movements. And if it is on the left, then it closes the site icon with itself.
So far, the only workaround for me is to close the tab with a double click.
